If you use style.css in your child theme, then you have to replace it on every update as it;s a file that will be changed every time. Css does not have to be added in the child theme at all. You can use the theme panel for css customization: http://screencast.com/t/0zoq3rtLS
Please update your files form the child theme as it is not an update proof method of customization (there is no such thing)

I do not argue that theme works fine in opera 38.0. I say that it does not work in Opera 12.14. And I can not force all users to update their browser if they do not wish to do that. Once again – I understand minor bugs in older versions of browsers. But this is not a minor bug, I want to repeat that site is totally unusable because mobile menu covers the screen and may not be closed.
Opera 12.14 is not the latest browser, but it is not that old, it came out in 2014. And many people use it, since it is the latest stable version of Opera before thay made total engine/design revision.
Should I understand your answer that all bugs (even serious ones) concerning not the latest versions of browser are not going to be considered and fixed?

Try to update the browser to its latest version: http://www.opera.com/computer clear all caches, purge the cdn files if you’re using then test again.

Hi,
First, please understand that there is no update-proof way of customizing the theme files. If you have a child theme set-up and have customization in place there, then you will need to replace those files as well. If the file was changed in newspaper 7 and you are still feeding a file from newspaper 6 through the child theme, that could spell disaster on your site. Please make a back-up of your modifications, and update your child theme to the new files and then re-apply your customization. A child theme is not update proof.

If you enter http://eyestocker.com, you’ll see in the footer the instagram widget with its title “follow US on instagram”.
I would like to change that into “follow ME on instagram”. I’ve found a way of doing this by entering appearance->editor->footer.php. However, after I make the change here and update the theme in the near future, I will have to make this change again.
I can see that in theme panel, there is a custom code area. Can I use that to make a rule for that text in the footer? Should I use the HTML code area?

Please update your theme to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and then update your visual composer plugin by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If your visual composer problem is not fixed, try to disable all other plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Regarding the Access Token, I already updated to the latest version of Visual Composer from the latest Newspaper update. It still cannot get any token using the “Get Access Token”. It just says “Please wait”. Is there anything I should check that might be preventing it to work properly?

After creating a custom sidebar. I inserted in the custom sidebar the TD_block1, weather widget, and recent post widget.
Everything worked fine and after going back to Appearnce/widget, there was no content shown anymore in the widget containers, only the standard “newspaper” widget container is OK.
I followed Your advice, have installed the latest version of newspaper (7.2), updated the plugins and deactevated them.
Still the same issue. ( its not a plugin issue as it seems)
I even cancelled the custom sidebar, same result.
Kindly let me know what todo . its even urgent because I am running the site now as production site and can´t go back.

I have mobile nokia n8 with opera mini.
I try to see with your demo theme, but last time i tested, he don’t use mobile theme, then i tested with other website in showcase and they have the same menu problem.

Salutare. As vrea sa reveniti cu un update la subiectul deschis. As vrea daca se poate sa scri in subtitlu ca in aceasta imagine http://infoalert.ro/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/subtitlu.jpg, fara a mai fi nevoit sa adaug, in editor textul pe care vreau sa-l scriu, folosind codul html.
Ce cod css as putea sa adaug in costom css box pentru a scrie textul din subtitlu, la fel ca in imagine.

}) cum pot schimba fontul, dimensiunea scrisului, iar acesta sa fie BOLD

I am not ssure how this has happened as I create a child theme to run independently.
Where the block sizes etc changed?
Is there a way that I can restore to the older version of Newspaper that I had so I can restore my customisations?

Hi, we have a problem with featured images on our website (http://newsbitt.rs). By some random order they suddenly won’t load at all (we get gray background instead of featured images) or they are loading aligned to left (we get a part of featured image and the rest is gray background). We are sure that it doesn’t have anything to do with featured images sizes, because the problem is the same, no matter if featured image is for example 1200x700px or 1920x1080px (or larger). The screenshots of this problem is in links below.
P.S. We regularly update the Newspaper theme and its plugins.

The responsive css was there all along 🙂 not part of the update. The header styles were created based on the default 728×90 ads. You can use this custom css to change the width of the container to one that will suit your needs:
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-recs{
width: 620px!important;
}
I set it to 620 px but you can change this value to whatever you wish.

This means the update was not done properly. Maybe you did not copy all of the files or in the right path. If you have any custom modification, make a back-up of it and do a clean update by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and test the theme without modifications and without a child theme.

There is no activation code for slider revolution as it is a free version and only paid versions can be activated and updated automatically through the WP dashboard. The version we provide cannot be updated from WP and it cannot be registered as there is no activation code for free versions. After WordPress released V 4.5 there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme, also older version of VC won’t work with it. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest, V3 works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at current version available on themeforest, V 3.0, also update Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all other plugins, clear all caches and test again.
You don’t need to delete the plugin via ftp all the time, it can also be done from your dashboard. However sometimes may appear some issues with this process and ftp remains best way to upload the theme or a plugin.
