So can we expect an option in an update for that or do we have to discard the plug-in for not having the option?
Would be great if this would have been mentioned on the theme page that the plug-in is limited to email address field only and not allowing us to collect the name as all other plugins do. Sadly now second plug-in in theme package that is just half baked due to limitations (other one is opt-in builder for not allowing us to customize/remove unnecessary fields).
Hello!
This is a fix till we make a new update and introduce this code as well, and everything will work as expected. Do not worry!
Thank you for understanding!
This is the email I received
Hi,
We have updated tagDiv Composer(for standard templates) and tagDiv Cloud Library(for cloud templates) plugins with a fix for this issue. I hope it will work properly also for you.
This is the result on our live demo – https://www.screencast.com/t/HB9VnceTbTie
We have modified the review schema and on the testing tools these are the results – https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=Tg2H4gLUQ4oFMtafIAOmNQ – https://validator.schema.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper_pro%2Ftd-post-laptop-with-128-bit-processor-32gb-of-ram-and-24mp-front-camera%2F
The only warning is related to missing field “aggregateRating”, but this is optional and practically this was the cause of this issue (votes number instead of the author).
You can take a test and let us know how it goes. Just deactivate and delete tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library plugins and reinstall them from Newspaper > Plugins – https://www.screencast.com/t/w5Vg8hoeH
Please make a full backup before.
Can we get instructions dmxsta has been sent so we can fix it on our site as well? Google indexing doesn’t sleep and we don’t know when the new update comes out.
Thank you.
I downgraded the theme and that fixed it. Now I updated to the latest version and the problem is back.
Bettina,
thank you. I changed the theme and started validating the corrections from the Google Search Console.
However, there is a big problem. Manual fixes are fine for now but when there is a theme update they will be lost. I believe that it should be included among the updates of the next upgrade just to make it definitive and fix the bug.
Hello Chirag Mittal!
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB; there you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-speedy-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use whichever one is more affordable and useful for you.
If anyone doesn’t fit as you created, then make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Note: If you want to use version 1 or 2, then you need to deactivate the mobile theme plugin and see the results.
Thank you!
This is quite indeed a rather unfortunate limitation, can this be done through customizing the code? It’s a rather imperative feature for our client. Please consider having this feature in your future updates.
Hello!
I can not provide an estimation time or if this functionality will be tested and implemented in the new update. Sorry.
Thank you for understanding!
great! With the Template Updates it worked! Thank you!
Hello!
Yes, please update the theme and plugins to the latest version. Please make a full backup before updating.
Thank you!
Since I changed from the default page I have had several problems, first I already deactivated it in the post views and I have not been able to correct it.
Another problem is that the categories, menus and mega menus do not work well.
I have not been able to configure the social counter either because it does not update automatically.
Please help.
In addition to my own website, I also create websites for clients. In some of them, I also put my Newspaper Pro license and because of that, I now lost access to updates. How do I remove the license on all these sites and just keep the license that I bought exclusively on my site and re-enable it?
I just happened to look at this thread and it appears it’s a good thing I haven’t updated to 6.0 yet.
Is this truly fixed 100%?
Hi Anamaria,
I have deactivated-and-deleted then installed-and-activated the Composer plugin a couple of times, without any apparent fix to the mega menu category problem.
However, I found that recreating the mega menu items themselves does now work!
Perhaps that’s all I needed to do previously once I had the WP, Newspaper and Composer versions all up-to-date, but posting this here as something others could maybe try.
Thanks very much for the quick update to the Composer plugin once the problem was present.
if it is compatible I proceed with the update
I use Google fonts (Poppins) on my website. It was working fine for a few months, but today certain characters (č) do not render correctly anymore. In the old versions of the theme, there was a setting to turn on Latin Extended support but now I cannot find it anywhere. I am thinking it might something to do with the theme update and some old settings could have gotten overwritten? Any suggestion how to fix this?
Hello,
The problem appears with WordPress 6.0. Please update the theme to version 11.5.1
Thank you!
We know this! Can you please let the developers know for future updates? Can we get a work around for this for the meantime? Like the css?
Now we’ve backed theme updates out to version 11.4.3. It seems to be running without the footer now. Our hosting provider WPMU has given us the following stacktrace for your review:

okobserver.org goes into a loop when Standard Pack is installed. We’ve deleted the plugin and are back up now.
The site link is https://www.editionrural.com/
It currently works because I went back to the previous version of the theme with a backup that I created before the update.
In a few days I can try to do it again to see if it breaks again, but I have to wait until there is less traffic on the site.
Thanks for your help!
