Well, make backup and then try deleting old visual composer plugin, and install the current version from the all files download and see if it works for you.
Note that “stopped working” means you can’t edit anything or make new items with VC.
If that is not what you meant, perhaps reword that?
note if you’re asking about ‘activation’ — you don’t need to ‘activate’ the plugin with Bakery folks to use it, as version included with theme is ‘bundled version.’
Try installing latest version from theme download in /plugins/ folder; try clearing cache, resave permalinks, and delete transients with wp-optimize plugin.

I currently have ver. 4.6.2 – I haven’t activated Newspaper 7 yet because once I do my homepage and other plugins stop working.
Can the problem with visual composer be because I am not on the newest Newspaper them?

Yes, I cheated a bit as we only recommend using the 3 highlighted columns for the layout, but inside a tab element, we can make an exception 😛 I added a row inside the tab and split the row in 4 columns Then I added an image in each column.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using an older version of the theme, like as Newspaper 6.6.1. Please keep in mind that our theme has changed a lot until now and if you will have to bring best results you will have to update your theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4) with come bundled with the latest version of required plugins which is Social Counter 4.1 and Visual Composer 4.12.1. Try to update your theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ , clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. Please keep in mind that our theme is continuously developing and you will have to keep up the theme updatings to bring best results in theme. This type of issue has been resolved in our new updates. If you want to change the structure of this page template, please notice that you will have to edit the core file where this template is created, like page-pagebuilder-latest.php.

Yes you might have mentioned only iphones have the issue. I tested on android and windows phones.

Please check all images and make sure your images are uploaded to your media library and implemented with the theme’s default implementation method. If you add images with css, do not use images from your localhost.
Also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Hi, we use your Newspaper theme in our site http://www.digitalbizmagazine.com/. As you can see we are having an issue with our header. On the one hand, at the home page our logo appears on the left, instead of centered. On the other hand, in the whole website the logo is bigger than it used to be.

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again. Also male sure that the parameters from system status have the parameters indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
This issue may also be caused by some firewall from the server which block’s theme’s request for that thumb. Try to contact your host provider and ask him if on the server are any restrictions or firewalls which may prevent importing content from external sources.

Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme which should have installed via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. If you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer (version 4.12.1) to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Our site is just set live on this theme. We like the look, but are trying to work through some of the kinks. One issue we are having is that when I log in it prompts us to activate Visual Composer. I have followed the various discussions and instructions on the forums, but nothing seems to work. It still wants me to pay for a license. It sends me to a page with the text below. NO LICENSES FOUND
It seems that you do not have any valid license for Visual Composer. What does it mean? It may be so that you got Visual Composer by purchasing WordPress theme which does not grant you with direct license for Visual Composer. Why do I need direct license? Direct product license unlocks several benefits:

(otherwise managed by your theme author)
Update Visual Composer directly
Use Visual Composer with any theme
(not just the one you got it with)
Manage your licenses at Client Portal
If you have just purchased a direct license for Visual Composer and do not see your license in available license list take into account that sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes while Envato provides us with new licenses. If there is still no license available, please logout of support.wpbakery.com and log in again via the CodeCanyon account and re-try the activation. If there are still problems, contact us via our CodeCanyon profile and share your item purchase code along with the WordPress login details, so that we can investigate the issue further.
My Visual Composer stopped working, how do I fix this. I even purchased a Visual Composer License but I don’t think thats the problem. I emailed support for WPbakery this was the conversation.

I have tried to disable all my plugins except visual composer but it changes nothing.
I can’t clear the cache for my website because I don’t have a cache plugin installed.
I have no js optimization tools on my site and no child theme that can affect the theme js…
I have checked your site and the zoom effect is completely disabled from your site. You can see the loading animation and then when you hover over the posts in the big grid nothing happens.
This is on chrome. On Firefox it behaves as you describe. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Also make sure you do not use any js optimization tools or a child theme that can affect the theme js.

You can create your very own page, you do not have to use the predefined one. In fact we do not recommend editing the dummy data as when you decide to uninstall or switch demos, the dummy content will be removed even if you edit it and add your own content over it. You are better off installing the demo without content and start creating original content.
The section below the video playlist is not controlled from visual composer. It is the latest articles element that is added through the page template. https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
As for the footer, the first 2 footer styles (1 and 2) have predefined content that cannot be edited. iof you want to change this, you will have to choose a different footer template that does not have content and then use the widgets section of wp to add content to the footer 1 footer 2 and footer 3 widgets.

Actually, I am looking for a way to keep using “mobile theme plugin” while still being able to use Visual composer based page on some pages. I asked the same question here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-can-i-use-visual-composer-on-specific-page-on-mobile-theme/ . I think that “Plugin organiser” can help me to achieve this result.
But here when I read this, I agree that we must try to avoid using any new plugins. So, is there any way to achieve this ( enabling visual composer on the certain page even when I am using TagDiv mobile theme plugin or disabling mobile theme plugin on certain page/post ) using few codes under functions.php ?

No you can’t use Read More tag avaialable in wordpress editor with visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/kM1fMKLzTXe The indicated tag can be used only outside visual composer in post loop settings as I’ve indicated above.
However you can use one of theme’s blocks/modules which automatically add read more button after excerpts, here in an example: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-12/ Block 12 use module 11 for layout and you can set a the excerpts length from theme panel > excerpts: http://screencast.com/t/iGJb5lkkl

First of all, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. It is possible that your untested plugins if you are using something like that, can interact with the smart list code and cause a lot of unknown issues because all of these features are too complex and has a more sensible code which offers to the theme a behavior vulnerable.
