Hi There,
Firstly, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the search functionality of this forum seems to be broken, It makes it difficult for me to research this issue.
We continue to have intermittent load and performance issues, we seem to have narrowed it down to multiple /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
It appears one article page load will generate 21 requests to /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.
We are seeing strange intermittent issues where I believe (according to our tech) we are being flooded with these requests, we get an abnormally high number of active nginx connections, the site eventually slows to a stop and crashes. Strangely it eventually (maybe after an hour) it corrects itself, it doesn’t seem to be associated with high load.
I’ve read a few similar threads of people experiencing ver similar issues
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-need-shim-working-again/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/high-processor-usage-by-admin-ajax-and-index-php/
I’ve read a few different bits of advise with no particular resolution.
1. Potentially it’s an issue with Visual Composer and changing to TD Composer might fix the issue, this seems risky, so I’m hesitant to do this work unless there is a high level of confidence that is will fix the issue.
2. Reduce the reliance of ajax and pagination on blocks, I’m happy to do this, but the vast majority of my users access the article page directly and through mobile devices. For example yesterday we had 550K impressions on mobile and 7K impressions on desktop.
What specifically should I be looking for to reduce AJAX calls and pagination? I can’t see any specifically on the article pages.
At this point I’m willing to forgo almost any functionality that is not crucial to our business to ensure stability.
The site is http://www.shwemom.com
Cheers,
Mick
Hi,
From what I understand you are missing the option to update the user profile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PcB5n4pko
Please provide more details about this and some useful screenshots if possible. In the meantime you can try to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed then check to see if the problem is still present. A problematic plugin could be the cause for this.
Thanks
Hello,
You seem to use the latest articles feature of wordpress, not a static page on your homepage. In this case you can select the module used for the template from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/cY9mIhG9y6dr
If you want to build a custom page using visual composer and set it as a homepage, please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Thank you!
PS. Your mega menu is broken as it was not created properly. Please check this forum topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/megan-menues/
Hi,
You are receiving support from the tagDiv staff as well, do not worry :). The support is here present and accounted for. We answer every message from oldest to newest. We usually respond in 24h tops except for the weekend but this depends on the amount of messages we have. If there are lots and lots of requests the answer can come a bit late because we did not manage to respond to everyone up to your topic. Having lots of replies back and forth also influences the response as the topic gets fresher on each reply.
Now for the matter at hand. If the export and import of the theme settings does not work properly, it probably means one of the 2 processes is not working properly. Most likely the import.
This can be caused by plugin conflicts, memory allocation, hosting file permissions or a number of different causes that can prevent the theme from importing settings.
1) please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
2) Please increase memory allocation by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
3) Please check file permissions and specific hosting permissions: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I would like to use Contact Form 7 plugin in my site.
Is there any tutorial and/or demo where I could see how to do this? Any CSS’s styles to be shown as the theme?
I’ve inserted in my home page a Contact Form module using visual composer and it shows with no css formatting/styling at all.
Thanks!
Hi,
That is not supposed to happen. This could be the result of some problematic plugins, you could try to disable all of them, except Visual composer and the mobile theme plugin if you are using it, clear any caching installed then test again. Also check any custom code that you might have entered in theme panel, added directly to the theme files or modifications through a child theme.
These kind of issues are usually caused by plugins or modifications to the theme. If you already tried the suggestions mentioned above, please provide a link to your website so we can take a look.
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
We know you have been our client for a long period of time, but you may be using plugins that can become incompatible at any point if they are not on the recommended list, or you could have a custom modification that is no longer compatible with the theme code.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
This depends on the page template you use. If you use the default page template the title and breadcrumbs will be removed when using visual composer. Please switch to the page builder + page title to show the title and breadcrumbs on your pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Thank you!
OK, This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If you still have issues with it afterwards, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation.
Thank you!
Hello,
Sorry but the mobile theme homepage cannot be edited. It is a predefined template that does not use visual composer so you cannot add block elements. sorry. If you need to have block elements on your mobile site, you will have to disable the mobile theme plugin as the theme is already responsive without the plugin. The mobile theme plugin adds more speed but limits the theme to standard templates without the use of visual composer.
Thank you!
Sorry, my explanation wasn’t clear.
I’m talking about breadcrumbs in our website page not in the google results page.
This image shows a simple standard wordpress page, no Visual Composer. Indeed there are breadcrumbs.
The image below otherwise shows a page made with visual composer and no breadcrumbs.
We need breadcrumbs in page, so what we need to do.
In the theme panel every option for breadcrumbs is turned on.
Yesterday we provide you user information for our website, can you check it? Thank you
Hello ryan_lipton,
I have inspected your source page of your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/vqDEeoCYvj Notice that we cannot provide theme support if you are using these untested plugins. Try to make a new sub-domain with a fresh install where you should install only the default theme and check the homepage post module and see how it will work or not. This element has been tested with the theme and seems to work as expected.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello TomasCabezuelo,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core file and cause a lot of unknown issues. It is possible that plugins to affect the theme responsiveness. Try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. If the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. If you will check the theme responsiveness, you should consult our demo preview, here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The update consists of the social counter fix and updating the Visual composer editor. I meant that you should update the theme in case you do not have the latest version, and use the plugins form the respective update. There should not be any problems configuring the social counter under these conditions. Please let us know if you have any more problems setting it up.
Thanks
Hello Mustafa Varol,
Our theme has this option and when you want to share other posts on facebook will display the author name, like this: http://screencast.com/t/X9va7aOglP You have control on this feature from td_wp_booster_functions.php file like this: http://screencast.com/t/ThEgEFxgw6F Please inspect this file on your back end and check if you have this code. SEO Yoast Plugin is tested on our theme and works properly with default settings. I have no idea why do not work for you. If you use another Plugin for Seach Engine Optimization, try to disable it, maybe cause this problem and try it again.
Also, you can try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, empty all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
Please check your sidebar from Widgets area and verify if your widgets are still there.
Please make sure you don’t use any strange characters or specific language letter(like Ú) to your sidebar name – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/sidebars-not-working/
Also please deactivate all your plugins except Visual Composer and check again the result.
Thanks!
Hello ImSoCute,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using a lot of untested plugins, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/TWoST6Iy which can interact with your core theme and cause a lot of unknown issues, like this, sorry! Notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins and before any deeper investigations at your backend, you should try the theme without using any untested plugins. Disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core file and rule out any conflicting plugins. Please keep in mind that our theme works as expected with blockquotes and we do not have any bad reports in this regard, sorry! Also, we cannot inspect your website if you will not provide your credentials.
If your problem is still there after you have disabled all of your untested plugins and if you need more assistance in this regard, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your website.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
That would require quite a bit of work. The header has the option to stretch it’s content to full width
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cKbxMbctA7Y
So you could achieve something similar to that – https://www.screencast.com/t/9CGVdaGaXQW
Here you can see the available header templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Further styling can be made using the theme options.
The footer can be disabled in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8bM7floiga6L
As well as the top bar above the header
– https://www.screencast.com/t/l5lbALT0
Then you can start creating your page in Visual composer using the available elements. The rows have the option to stretch to full – https://www.screencast.com/t/ikT7LZWT
And also to use a parallax image – https://www.screencast.com/t/Ho8FCuhoQm2v or even a video background.
Hopefully this will get you started in your project and you can manage to create the design you want.
Thanks

Hello dr_vibe,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Most likely, this could be the reason of your problem. Try to disable all of these untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. After this, make sure that you have added a featured image to your posts according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-featured-images/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
The issue is because there is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.
From VC Support
Hello,
1) Yes, tabs are very complex elements and they should not be used with other complex elements as they will not work properly. This is a known issue and unfortunately is hard to overcome as the tabs are not theme specific elements but rather visual composer elements.
2) You will have to regenerate your thumbnails using the force regenerate plugin is the video thumbnail is big enough to display in that grid. There is a chance the video thumb simply is not big enough to fit. Our theme will only crop images to fit the grids, The theme will not enlarge images.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try as a first step to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed then check to see if the widgets are displaying properly. I have not seen this problem before, if you insert a widget in the sidebar only once – https://www.screencast.com/t/wgQ7sBI24MTs I do not know why it would display twice. The widgets are not completely the same however – https://www.screencast.com/t/gtfwABXqKk
Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme files, or through a child theme if you use one. This issue is not happening on my end using only the plugins provided in the theme package, so maybe this is a result of a plugin conflict or theme modifications. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hello hidoc,
First of all, please ensure that you have installed the latest theme version from your Theme Forest account. Then, make sure that you have installed all the required plugins, like Visual Composer. For more information about this feature/plugin and how you should use it, consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
If you need more assistance in this regard, please provide your website URL so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
