Not sure which settings screen you want. But my problem is not in the section shown on your screen grabs.

I am not sure what you mean but if you want add a new element to appear you need to modify the file which correspond to the post template you’re using. For example if you’re using post template style 2 the file is: loop-single-2.php like here: http://screencast.com/t/KizmqVAgz

I am aware of the procedure to get the script and CSS id’s. However, this particular script is not appearing in the list. Although, a stylesheet related with this plugin (wpproads_standard_admin) is appearing in the list.I am providing a list of ID’s below for review and help.

I have resolved the issues of blocking Google Fonts but still having a hard time configuring blocking script (Wp Ad System) and 2 blocking CSS resources (Js_Composer & Style.css).

Kindly advise if the two CSS resources can be optimized with affecting styling of the site.

Kindly help regarding blocking Javascript.

Time to add mine into the mix here. I just updated so I’m using Newspaper v6.1 and the child theme.

Inside The Star

I opted to go for sleek design attributes and dug apart the default styles. Features include:

• Transparency on all container backgrounds
• Full size fixed background image representing my site’s primary subject (Dallas Cowboys NFL Team)
• Custom widget title blocks
• Custom link colors on post templates with darker headers
• Custom sharing buttons; removed default Pinterest button and replaced with a Reddit button
• Using Open Sans and Roboto in a few places like menus and widgets, and using Merriweather for content and some titles, but Oswald for all headings and most titles.

I’m pretty pleased with how it came out and, of course, thanks go to tagDiv for revamping the theme in such a way that this was so easy to do. Seriously loving the speed of the theme, even with ads and outside javascript like an audio player loaded.

We serve ads that are tracked and part of campaigns such as site takeovers where clients book, say, 200000 impressions of leaderboard, sidebar and background ads together.

Using the theme’s built-in wallpaper solution, there is no way to track and report this. It’s like saying why I don’t put a picture with a link in the sidebar instead of using proper banner code.

Using DFP’s background code in your theme, I just cannot get backgrounds to show up.

After 6 update, i tried to do like before but i couldn’t.

Basically I would like to add ads in category and tags pages above and below of the page. How can i do ?

There is very specific instruction in the theme documentation available on this site for updating from an older version to v6/v6.1. It includes methods by which certain parts have to be removed and then new replacement installed. Be sure to follow those exactly. You cannot simply update the Visual Composer, for example, by uploading the new plugin over the old one. The old one has to be deactivated and fully deleted before uploading the new version in most cases.

There are multiple ways to do some of the steps listed in the upgrade documentation, so it’s tempting to use the method you know best that usually gets you the end result desired. Don’t give into familiarity. Follow the instructions precisely. They’re specific for good reason.

Well, you’re not “Fixing” anything, you’re customizing things.

Here’s what you can do. Mind you, these are only steps and locations; you need to know how to use CSS and HTML to actually perform the changes:

Adding WhatsApp & Removing Pinterest: The code for the default sharing blocks are in newspaper/includes/modules/td-module-single.php and there are two sections, one for above and one for below the post. They’re just links added to a variable so remove what you don’t need or change it as needed.

I wanted to add Reddit and remove Pinterest so I deleted the Pinterest blocks from both, created a td-social-reddit class for the background color, and changed the icon in the <i> element to td-icon-reddit and added the styles to the Custom CSS panel in the theme settings (to avoid overwriting on updates).

If the WhatsApp button uses a share URL and not a javascript function, it’s simple enough to copy the Google Plus button code in each location and adjust the URL in it and even add variables to it like I did with Reddit (See example on my site: Single post on my site showing the sharing buttons with Reddit and no Pinterest)

Please note that the default sharing buttons in that file all include some javascript inside of <script></script> tags within the chunk of code. This is primarily for handling the popup behavior of each link. Removing it or using your own JS without such a function will make clicking the share link open in the current full browser window, taking users away from your site.

Adding Pinterest to Images: There are several free and premium plugins that handle this. I suggest you implement one of them after removing the default Pinterest share button as described above.

These aren’t difficult changes to make, though. If you’re familiar with coding then it should be self-explanatory how to complete the steps above. Good luck!

b) clear all your site/CDN caching
c) install new social counter plugin
d) put widget in sidebar
e) put in your social account info per the examples
f) check the page on your site
g) if not working, check to see if you have conflict with some other FB/twitter plugin (try F12 in browser to show console errors; easiest with Chrome)
