Hey guys,
taking into account that new google speed ranking factors are coming, is it possible to use amp version of pages as default on desktop? The mobile theme scales OK, and is very fast via amp. I guess i could set up redirects for each page to redirect to ?amp version, not sure if that would work. Maybe some other suggestions?
I have done everything you told me
-security copy
-buy and upgrade to noew versión of newspaper
-deleted the code [newsletter] from the Newsletter plugin
-created and sent an admin user to your contact email
but when i publish any page in the “pages” section of wordpress the page appears between the header and the rest of the page. (in this case a form with wpforms). But if you created a blank page only with one word appears (for example)…
any more ideas please?

on our site we are using NewsMag a couple of years. The problem is, that our score on PageSpeed Insights for mobile is terrible. Now I’m testing the mobile theme in a staging area and the options for the mobile theme are very limited. For example there is no possibility to disable the mobile theme on the startpage, or create an own theme for mobile.
In considering that google will publish the new ranking factors in may 2021, I think it would be recommendable to put more energy into the mobile version. And this is only possible with the Newspaper Theme, right?
If it is so, then I think I must change the Theme from Newsmag to Newspaper.
Can you tell me, how I should proceed to change the theme from Newsmag to Newspaper?
It is possible to migrate everything (Layout/Pages/Settings) from Newsmag to Newspaper?
We are using Cloudflare as CDN and it is absolutely necessary, that we are using the Cloudflare APO before May. Does the Newspaper theme supports the Cloudflare APO for desktop and mobile theme?

That guide (is an old guide) is for the standard template, not a pro templates. The above plugin suggested is working with pro version too and no need to make changes in the theme files.
A single post standard template is created with 2 php files, for example, for loop-single-4.php this file is also used single_template_4.php in this cases the <div class=”td-module-meta-info”> is set in this file => https://www.screencast.com/t/mvaEKa0DsEBf

The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

My site is https://wagglydogs.com. I have tried the tagdiv mobile with amp plugin many times but unfortunately the end result is not good with parts of my front page not showing correctly so this combination isn’t a mobile solution I can use.

Hello, we have installed the default theme and it is coming up with the following errors on the console:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'src' of undefined
and also
Uncaught ReferenceError: u is not defined
These errors appear on posts. However, normal pages don’t seem to have the same issues
I’ve tried uninstalling the theme and plugins. I’ve also tried resetting the entire website to its default and it’s still coming up with the same errors.

just to add, mobile theme has already been enabled for the pages. AMP version of pages are working fine, but non-AMP is showing up the non-mobile theme.

Let’s talk the slider again.
Right now everything I publish is being featured on the slider. Is it possible to make post-based filter ( as opposed to category based one) when publishing a post?
Example :
I am publishing “A”, “B”, and “C”, posts and they could be in different categories. If I want only to feature “B” ( could be from business, sports, entertainment or whatever) in the slider, could I filter out post “A” and “C” from being featured in the slider?
If not, could CSS customization be the answer? I think it is something that needs consideration for you next theme update.

However, I’m having trouble with the second step in that tutorial. I’m up to the step of replacing the code for the default author and author box. However, my files don’t match up to the example. That option means full size of the original file. For example your image is 1920 X 1440, and this setting option has also 1920, and 0 because you can have different values here and not only 1440.
There you can have 1/2/3/4 values because it depends on what you want to achieve. For example you can find a lot of examples here which means the same like in our theme:

You gave me the example of an article background. But this is a row background. And, the image is applied from the CSS tab of row. There’s no such option like you showed. And, even if I follow your procedure, it remains the same.

The back to top arrow can be changed only using CSS code. For example, if you want to remove that arrow you can use this CSS code:

Hi,
I’m migrating a news site from previous theme (already dissapeared: Weekly News) to your theme, it has 5000 posts.
All the posts are seen normally except of the video posts. I have 700+ video posts on the previous system.
I realize the video posts are in now format Standard and need to convert them to format Video as a first step.
Also I understand that the previous video URL field changed, I need to replace it massively for all the post to another field that you use on your theme, this a second step. For this I use WP Sheet Editor – Post Types (Premium) – where I see the previous URL field and where I need to replace to the new field…so I think the second step is covered.
So I want first of all convert all video posts from Standard to Video format in a batch, what do you suggest?, I can access them per certain categories for example…do you have a SQL query I can use?…or another method or plugin?
