I see now that I cannot edit the home page with TD Composer, so I am assuming that TD Composer requires Visual Composer
Additional question, I am under the impression that TD Composer needs Visual composer in order to work, but is that true?
I am having a problem with the WP Bakery Visual Composer Plugin. My site went down, and the web server company told me that the crash was due to the WP Bakery Visual Composer Plugin. I’m assuming this was due to an update. But I need that plugin in order for this theme to work. Currently, the plugin is deactivated, but the theme is not working. This is urgent because people are coming to the site. How can I fix this? Thank you.
I am starting building new site. Make fresh instalation. Uploading your plugins. I am install first TagDiv Cloud Library and after that TagDiv composer. And it is coliding not functional togather. Why your two main plugins not working togather?
I’d like to be able to use some of the td shortcodes in my posts, for example to insert some of the icons available. When I create what I want ahead of time on a Page, and then copy the shortcodes created and put them in my post, it works, but this is a very difficult and clunky way of doing things. Is there a list of the icons and the shortcodes that go with them somewhere? It seems there should be an easy way of adding these icons shortcodes in posts. Any ideas? (I did try to test out visual composer with my posts to see what their icons were like, I enabled visual composer on posts setting, but I can’t seem to get visual composer working in posts OR pages, but right now I’m not really concerned about visual composer, only the icons shortcodes)
Hi, this past April I purchased a license for NewsMag and have it running here:
https://OnlinePhotographyTraining.com
Since April, the theme has been updated by the author, but when I try to update the theme on my website (updated through the WordPress update link similar to how one would update a plugin), my website, for lack of a better term, gets messed up. The homepage is scrambled as well as each of the individual pages. Luckily, I was smart enough to backup my website before I did the update so it was easy enough to restore.
I did not modify the theme in any way. Just reconfigured the homepage with TD Composer.
I, of course, would really like to update the theme. Can you offer any suggestions?
Could someone please help with this error. The composer page will not load. This error is at the top of the page.
Error at rows: 1(models) : 2(dom). The model does not match the content
Hello,
it’s maybe a simple question, but I can’t manage to have a section of my page which is full width like in this exemple : https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_city_news/
I would like to do the same than those blues sections, but when à I TagDiv Composer, it’s always boxed and never full width.
Maybe there is a tuto or a tip ?
Thanks
Maxime
Hi
On the default templates i notice that “RELATED ARTICLES” and “MORE FROM AUTHOR” are part of the same widget so to speak, they are on the same plane, and when you click on the “MORE FROM AUTHOR” it switches to it

But in TD Composer there is only the way to insert “RELATED POSTS” and then “MORE from AUTHOR” but not put them together like you have on the preinstalled templates.
So i was wondering how i go about achieving this?
Kind Regards
Hello, I recognized the same issues and it drives me mad – I think this is since the last theme update.
This only occurs, if you make changes within the tagdiv composer. If you make the changes in the standard wordpress editor and update the page, everything is good. If you make changes within the tagdiv composer and update the page, the characters are transmitted into those crazy characters.
This must be a utf8 problem. Please fix this issue, please 🙁
Hi,
1: I’m trying to change the size of the logos. When loaded in multimedia gives me some size but when I do then upload from the panel of the theme makes me a forced resize. I tried also to change the style.css of the parent theme but it does not work. What operation should I do?
2: Does the tag div composer tag only work on pages? not even on the articles?
3: The best practice to change parts of the theme what is it?
hello,
Please do not use 2 page builders on the same page and do not use 2 page builders at all. The theme can only accommodate 1. Choose between the tagdiv composer or WP bakery and stick to the one you choose. Do not use both as they will conflict with one another.
Thank you!
Hello,
Now that I am switching to the tagDiv composer I noticed that the composer width is not enough to accomodate the whole column, I checked with the developer tools and noticed that if I disable this line: “width: 317px;” I can see all the composer elements in their glory.
I use google chrome on a mac, but no matter how I widen the browser, the composer window is still not wide enough.
To clarify I paste here the code.
.tdc-inspector {
overflow-y: scroll;
width: 317px;
height: 100%;
}
Hey Simon C
I’m not using wpbakery page builder. I have build all my pages on td composer but the catch is that before 9 version vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm used to work in td composer which is not working anymore. if have used wpbakery page builder then even after 9 update there should be nothing wrong but I love td composer and that’s why I’m using it.
Simon
could you PLEASE email me the newspaper 8.8.2 version because I have more than 35 pages on my website and building all those pages again is going to take a lot of time and my website will be down whole time.
I hope you understand my problem
Thank you
Hello Rohit Sharma,
If you will use the TD Composer, you can see the changes in Live Preview -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Mkf23JdpAOz
Thanks.
Hi,
So you want to display a sidebar in a page. That is not difficult. Edit the page in question with the composer, split the row like this for example (most common)
If you want to display widgets use the widget sidebar element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5r9JLFOz
Or drag elements directly in the sidebar column
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Qg5dYC2E
In the page you mention I see the sidebar looks alright. That should be the case for all pages. What exactly are you doing in the page and what it is happening? Could you provide a link to that page so I can take a look?
Thanks
Hi,
You probably used WPBakery page builder before and it’s settings for hiding elements, try to deactivate the tagDiv composer if it’s active.
The composer will activate itself automatically after a theme update. That could solve the hidden item issue you are having.
Our composer also has options to hide elements, there could be a conflict between the two.
Let us know what you find.
Thanks
Hi,
I would like to ask if the Tagdiv Composer and the Backend Editor are compatible?
Can it couse some problems if part of the page is built with Tagdiv Composer and another part with Backend Editor?
Do you recommend using one of these instead of the other one or does using both not affect the page?
Besides using the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin there would be no easy way
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The predefined category templates only have the settings in the theme panel, there would be no options for adding buttons in them.
Only if the button was manually entered as code in the category template files, it would show up in the category page

Hello MacZil,
Do you have updated your theme to the latest version of it via FTP way? Do you have updated all of the plugins? We recommend using only TD Composer plugin because this is our page builder which will be developed continuously. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer to your setup page. Also, provide there more details about your problem.
Thanks for the message!
Thank you Simon for your answers. So in fact it is not possible to do that then with its pages.
And do you know if by chance we can change our pages into articles like news then?
For the problem with tagDiv Composer I have this on all pages and it has often made me yes even if I spent very little by that to modify my site.
Hi,
Moving post template elements around is not possible with the predefined templates, unless maybe modifications in the code and/or using additional CSS
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3PrUscRFsW
That is why we created the cloud library plugin where you can design your own post templates with the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Create post templates from blank templates, or import from the ones we designed and modify them, there are many possibilities. There will be more templates added in the future.
Thanks
Hi,
Those are available only in the tagDiv composer, they will not appear in WPBakery anymore. That guide is quiet old and should have been removed. This is the current guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Most of the new theme features and options will be for the tagDiv composer mainly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
If you use the cloud library plugin and tagDiv composer you can built each category template in any unique way possible. Build a template from scratch (blank template) or import from the ones we designed (these can be modified by you as well)
Thanks
Hi,
For the default post templates no post content width changes is permitted by a theme setting. With a sidebar it will be 696px, without a sidebar it will be the full theme width, 1068px.
If you use cloud library plugin and tagDiv composer to create post templates, you can stretch the row containing the post content with these options
– https://www.screencast.com/t/17AvZbxCr8a
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
For the cloud post templates ads will have to be inserted while editing the template, here

Thanks
