Hi,
We will try to help you, but you will have to be more specific. Please provide more details about what exactly is the error, so we can understand better.
The tagDiv composer was introduced in Newspaper 8 and it is activated by default, when installing the theme or updating it

Thanks
I’ve been trying to remove and add a poster on my page with tadDiv but it isn’t responding. Has this got to do with me or the theme?
Help
Thanks
Well, I’m having the same problem with this guy -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-is-not-working/
or something similar, there are no blocks in VC composer so I can’t edit my page
Can you help?
Hi,
You can place any number of Instagram elements on pages, using the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/instagram-widget/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/instagram-widget/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Each can have their own style and Instagram Id entered. There is also a footer Instagram available that you can use.
Thanks
I have a open thread requesting help that my mobile theme is not working. Response was to uninstall all plugin and test and no go. After 3hrs of testing it turns out that the reason my site had a breaking and crashing mobile theme was the fact the I DID NOT HAVE Tagdiv composer installed. One I installed it and activated it….website worked. Mobile ran fine but then I found same problem as gentleman above. What breaks ultimate video composer add-on plugin is Tagdiv composer. So now I have to settle to have an activate plugin i don’t want or need (Tagdiv composer) so mobile runs fine and have a plugin i need ahd designed most of my pages with (ultimate composer addon) inactive. This problem needs to be addressed. Tagdiv composer should not be a mandatory activate plugin for the Newsmag/Newspaper to work properly if you don’t want to use it.
Here is the error I’m getting:
TD Composer Internal error: The system tried to use an att that does not exists! class_name: vc_row Att name: “tdc_css_class_style” The list with available atts is in tdc_composer_block::render
/var/www/okinawahai.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/tdc_composer_block.php > get_att
Do you plan to introduce the possibility of disabling rows as we could before in Visual Composer? A newspaper is a living entity whose design also changes throughout the day. The only simple way is to have rows that you can publish or unpublish according to the time of day. This builder is very lame without that option. Not really useful for a newspaper.
Solved the problem – had to delete manually tagdiv composer folder and re-install it. It wouldn’t update with the update from 8 to 8.1 🙁
TIPS:
for TD Composer, make sure you delete old TDC plugin folder, and upload NEW one — *not* overwrite/merge; after you do that, run the WP-Optimize plugin, AND resave permalinks, this clears all ‘transients’ — and one presumes anybody running a caching plugin is clearing that, disabling, it, etc., prior to any WP updates!
Please how do I solve this issue? It disables plugins and deletes same from plugin list.
The plugin td-composer/td-composer.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
Ok. But If I use VisualComposer the problem is true too
Ok the header ad is solved and really is a shame only one code can be used. I don’t have a way of adding anything else unless I use a plugin which will slow the site down.
Ads really are strange on this theme and now I’ve noticed that Adsense matched content works fine when adding the code through composer or somewhere on a page manually but if I add the code through the Newspaper theme settings on footer or in Bottom post ad spot it doesn’t display correctly. Something is wrong with this as seen in the photo below where in footer it doesn’t display correctly but in composer and manual input is fine.
I am extremely frightened to even attempt to update the theme even though I’m still mucking around even setting anything up. So many error reports. Even worse I purchased Visual Composer from Envato and I’m thinking I don’t even need it now. I didn’t check here about any updates before purchasing it.
Hello! I’m using Newspaper 4 and Visual Composer 5.1.
Problem 1:
When I update to VC 5.2 my site crashes: ”Fatal error” that points to ”wp-content/themes/Newspaper/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 30”. Site works again when I re-install VC 5.1.
Problem 2:
I have tried to update the theme for Newspaper 7 (I have the .zip file) but could not do it with WP dashboard or FTP program – site crashes, I guess this has something to do with Visual Composer (5.1) as well.
Question:
Is there a simple (or at least safe) way to update the theme & plugin? I would be happy to update only up to Newspaper 7, because I can’t live without Visual Composer. I have 500+ pages (not posts) that are created with VC, so unfortunately I can’t start using TD Composer.
Thanks for help!
That old video from 2015 shows “Visual Composer” — not “TD Composer” — two different things. TDC was just introduced to provide a faster, more efficient with web server, optimized page builder for those who primarily use it for home page layout, grids on categories, and business page layouts.
See the docs for TD Composer for how that works.
VC and TDC are two entirely different things.
They likely need to update the tutorial page to point at the new TDC stuff !

Hello Team,
I have been facing issues with the posts which uses the visual composer when the tagdiv composer is active. Currently tagdiv composer is not supported for posts. I used Visual composer to built some of the posts. When the tagdiv composer is active the post page is distorted and the layout is not proper. Have the look at the images for reference.

When the tagdiv Composer is active

When the tagdiv composer is not active the post pages looks proper.
For now I deactivated the tagdiv composer. Once this problem is resolved, I will switch to Tagdiv composer.
Thanks.
When I try to edit pages with TagDiv Composer
and press “save”, the loading icon continues to turn, but it does not actually save.

wp booster error:
TD Composer Internal error: The system tried to use an att that does not exists! class_name: vc_row Att name: “tdc_css_class_style” The list with available atts is in tdc_composer_block::render”
The mobile theme and the subpages work. But its just the homepage in the desktop version.
Please help.
Thank you
Hi.
After update I have this problems:
Please help me 🙁
Hi
after updating the theme to version 8.1 my tagDiv Composer doesn’t work anymore.
When I try to access it, it goes to …/wp-admin/post.php?post_id=5&td_action=tdc and it displays white screen.
I tried to deactivate and activate it again, I have also deleted it and downloaded a new version from the updated theme .zip file, but it is still the same.
Any idea what can I do?
thanks
Hi,
If you updated from theme version 8 there should be no problems. If you have an older version, please note that the new tagDiv composer is activated by default when you update the theme. Try deactivating this plugin after updating and check the results. In some cases having both editors active creates problems

Hi,
To update Visual composer please deactivate and delete the plugin from then plugins section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vZNEvss9M
Then upload the new version and it should install properly.
Thanks
Hello gwalkerit,
Please be more specific about what kinds of layouts do you refer to? Notice that our builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder.
For more information about right using of TD COmposer and transition between these both page builders, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for your understanding!
You guys posted -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/visual-composer-update-21/ <–
But if you want to do update that way how you describe, you can’t. If you do it that way you will get error that /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/ folder already exist.
