There seems to be a problem between WP 5.6 and Newspaper 10.3.9.1 in regard to the missing Tagdiv Composer button (it is missing altogether when creating a new post or page).
If you rollback WP to version 5.5 (using WP Downgrade), the Tagdiv Composer button returns.
This problem has been ongoing since the release of WP 5.6. I’ve tried all of the suggested troubleshooting even going so far as to reinstall both WP and Newspaper with no other plugins active except for the ones required by Newspaper, but the problem persists.
I have Bluehost as my hosting service and I have all of the requisite server settings active including WP_MEMORY_LIMIT set to 256M.
And the problem happens with the latest versions of either Chrome or Firefox.
The only editor option being presented with WP 5.6 and Newspaper is WP’s Guttenberg. editor

Also you can try and remove and re-install the tagDiv Composer plugin.

Hello! I am using newspaper theme some time now and I am very pleased. My question is: Ona new site we have set, we tried to activate theme and it gives us an error that says you are not authorized to enter td_cake_page. This has happened after a hack situation we gone through but we have reinstall everything. We change servers and so on. Also we cant change colors wth tagdiv composer in fonts and some others troubles with ad box
Hi team. I’ve recently moved from Avada to Newspaper, but have encountered issues with the editor when changing themes. I had to alter a lot of content but I have now done that and ready to disable the Avada builder completely. When I disable it and try to create a new post it automatically loads the default WordPress editor. I can see the Newspaper ‘post settings’ box where I can select smart lists etc, however the tagdiv composer does not load or accessible anywhere that I can find.
If I re-enable Avada Builer it’s hit an miss.. every pag I can build with Avada and some of them allow me to enter the tagdiv composer as well, it’s as if Avada is the recognised editor and once I take it away WordPress defaults back to its out of the box editor.
I have disabled all Avada plugins and theme and switched to a wordpress free template and then back to Newspaper, but I cannot get tagdiv composer to be accessible without Avada activated as well. Is there a way to resolve this, maybe by ‘re-registering’ tagdiv composer or something similar?
I can’t wipe out my WordPress installation completely and start from scratch with Newspaper, it’s simply too much work.
Hi, I need to find out if it is possible to make the images in a slide clickable just like the text within the TD composer? This is what I’m referring to: https://www.screencast.com/t/Ta5bvThU
The layout is great and the text title is clickable, but the rest of the image is not, want visitors to be able to click anywhere to access the posts.
Thanks.
Hi,
If you want to disable the comments from pages, you can do it from here https://i.imgur.com/ZfjV6so.png, in order to be able to have comments in post, you need to make these settings -> https://i.imgur.com/83CnhKi.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/enabledisable-comments/ Also in your case you are using a pro demo and you need to edit the single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library using tagDiv Composer like this -> https://i.imgur.com/1kebAnv.png and add the single post comments where you want to have it -> https://i.imgur.com/i9pnmBJ.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi mayaguez, you can not use the tagdiv Composer on your homepage, because this is blog (latest articles) set it from here -> https://i.imgur.com/abtKUPj.png only pages and cloud templates can be edited with tagDiv Composer.
Thank you for your understating!
Hi hammersurf, I think that you want to set this in header of website, you can do this using a cloud header and tagDiv Composer, set a row and then set the row as a banner (set a background image on it ) -> https://i.imgur.com/3x3csuz.jpg then in first column set a slider -> https://i.imgur.com/tcKMjZG.jpg adjust the slide layout -> https://i.imgur.com/WoKOEex.jpg
Hope this will help you!
Hi Robert Turner, if you only want to change the social share then you need to do it from theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/ there were no option of this in tagDiv Composer.
For the rest of the problems, please make a full backed and make a test only with tagDiv plugins and main theme and if those options are still not working, then send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel. I will inspect the situations as soon as possible see what can be the problem. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Let me know the results!
Thanks you!
Hi Lalit Joshi, I think that you can do that, but will be harder, you need to search the rows after extra classes and so on, and since our theme has an option for this, I think that will be more easy to use it, in this way you can set any image you want on each row with tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
On tagdiv composer, i use ad box to have a different size image on desktop and phone.
On phone no problem
But on desktop the image is perfect on preview but after is smaller.
I try to modify width attribute on the element, the column and the row but no change.
The page : https://dmepp.com/
Thank you for your help
Hi,
The setting from theme panel will apply only if you are not using a pro demo (those are using cloud templates) and it should apply the global fonts from theme panel, but if you have some pages that were made with tagDiv Composer can have individual settings.
If the settings from theme panel are not apply, then you are using a pro demo, this can be edited using tagDiv Composer -> use the right click to remove the elements you do not want to have in your single post template -> https://i.imgur.com/1gAnLJW.png- > https://i.imgur.com/xCG0Z8h.png
The font can be change by selecting the element and in general tab or style tab you can set the fonts -> https://i.imgur.com/Q5jKCVA.jpg also using the manager you can see what fonts do you have on that page or template -> https://i.imgur.com/55UMHqU.jpg from there you can go on that element or you can change the font directly in manager.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello, today I see a strange space on my website if you see where it shows like that but when I am in tagDiv composer shows ok.
Could someone help me with this problem?
Hi,
I think that you are referring to this section -> https://i.imgur.com/Tqc2ytG.jpg this is a video playlist set with tagDiv Composer also, as Ali147 said you need to set an YouTube api key, this is not so complicated, we have a guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/youtube-api-key/
Hope this will help you!
Hi greenbooks,
That is a pre-build website -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
What you can do is to make your own posts -> https://wordpress.org/support/article/writing-posts/ also that is a pro website, therefore it was created using tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library for cloud templates. Therefore all pages and templates can be edited with tagdiv Composer builder -> https://i.imgur.com/IqjK0nX.jpg
You have some ore documentation for our theme here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ and here -> https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/
Hope this will help you!
Hi wbr, if you are using a standard header https://i.imgur.com/8p8Rahd.png the add header can be change from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/RVV3L2C.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/
If is a pro demo (with a could header), you need to edit it with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/cPIWB7L.jpg -> select the ad box element and check the tabs -> https://i.imgur.com/cGtVj2a.jpg -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-ad-spots/
Hope this will help you!
Hello @bogmar88!
You can simply edit the title of a block with TagDiv Composer plugin like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/pdT2eZiH
Read more about TagDiv Composer here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Let me know about your results!
Thank you!
Unfortunately no – but I will do it now 🙂 I have created the pages with the composer, so is there something special to do?
Thank you very much!

Hi guys, i’cant edit with TagDIV Composer anymore and i dont know whats wrong. Can you troubleshoot and maybe help us?
Hi Vlad,
The link is finupnews.gr
We managed to discover that simply choosing to edit the tablet preview was not sufficient. Since we had applied separate MOBILE PAGE settings, we noticed that the tablets were inheriting those settings. Unfortunately, any extra content that on mobile is rendered vertically, on tablets was appended to the right hand side, due to the greater device screen width.
Then, while editing the MOBILE PAGE we realized that the tablet tab inside the mobile page editor controls what the tablet looks like IF there are any mobile page settings set. Clicking that and tinkering with the various options per row, column, and element we were able to address some, but not all, of the aforementioned issues. But it’s a good start.
The difference in the functionality between the two is not clear enough, hence the confusion!
One persisting issue we are facing now, though, is the following: When the default content ends in the TagDiv Editor, it appears like it is being repeated all over. However, none of it is displayed on the actual page when viewed as a normal visitor. The footer, however, differs from the default one on the actual page, while in the TagDiv Composer is nowhere to be found. To experience what is described above, please try visiting the link I shared, and ispecting the footer from within Chrome’s DevTools (as if it was a mobile device). Compare that to the footer of the link when viewed from the browser of a physical mobile device. The virtual version appears to have a blue background color, while the physical device renders it in black. The structure of the footer also differs between the two.
Please review and advise.
Thank you.
To fix this, I’ve edited the plugin directly under plugins -> plugin editor (WARNING to anyone else reading this, if tagDiv updates their plugin, there is a risk they will overwrite this change and you’ll have to make it again).
Then I chose tagDiv composer from the dropdown on the top right and clicked apply. I navigated to legacy -> common -> booster and clicked on td_module.php. Then I clicked into the code area and typed cmd-f (ctrl-f for windows) and searched for this:
class="td-image-wrap
I replaced that line that starts with $buffy, with the following code:
if ( is_null( $this->post_thumb_id ) ) {
$no_thumbnail = 'no-thumb';
} else {
$no_thumbnail = '';
}
$buffy .= '<a>href . '" rel="bookmark" class="td-image-wrap ' . $no_thumbnail . $video_popup_class . '" title="' . $this->title_attribute . '" ' . $video_popup_data . '>';
I now have a “no-thumb” class which shows up then there is no thumbnail, and am able to use that to hide the thumbnail anchor (“a”) element entirely via CSS.

Hello !
On a mobile template you can include it. Please note that you will have to remove the mobile theme plugin in order to work with mobile templates. Mobile templates can be edited like desktop ones using tagDiv Composer.
Thank you !
