Please notice that this behaviour is not okay for your side and this problem might be caused from your untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

i checked my Computer and there was i old version of this theme that was downloaded from themeforest. i install that but now Visual Composer not let editing any page.

Please notice that the Askimet plugin is not tested with our theme and because of this fact you will get this error. Please notice that the speed booster is an optional plugin and it is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled. A lot of people install the plugin without knowing what it does and after that they add many plugins and some of the them are not written fine so the developer took this decision. If you want to always enable speed booster, delete this code from speed booster file: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh
Please notice that our theme is not tested with multisite mode (plugins) and we cannot recommend using this type of plugins with our theme because its were not made any tests in this regard. Please try to use our theme only with tested plugins for better results.

In the case of @AfriPost the facebook ID was not added correctly and there were a few plugins that were not compatible with our theme. If you have issues with the social counter yourself, please make sure you update your theme to the latest version (newspaper 7.01) and make sure you update the social coiunter to version 4.0 by removing your current version and installing it again from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/tGhIPrujhMh

Hi,
The multiple issues on your website are most likely caused by plugin conflicts. If you check the search that is not working as well and that is a definite sign of plugin conflicts. Please deactivate all plugins excepot visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files (you need to clear all caches even the server cache if there is one). And check your site again without plugins to see if issues are still there. If they are, it menas that the theme was not properly updated and you need to remove it and make a fresh install.

Just purchased newspaper theme, installed Global Medicine demo on my dev site to play around with.
One thing I was trying to tweak: the post titles showing inside the “Big Grid 7” elements aren’t very clear overlaid on my light colored thumbnails. I wanted to add a shadow to the font to make it more legible, using the following CSS, but it would not work.

OK, I am breathing again. I uninstalled (unintentionally) cos I had not worked out where to find a new install of VC. I had deleted VC before I had a replacement VC plugin install – stupid.
Anyways – downloaded and reinstalled VC and now it is working in Pagebuilder. Note to all – make sure you have your reinstalls ready before deleting a plugin….

I did more than that. I deleted the entire content of public_html folder and deleted the MySQL database. Then I created a new database and news user. Performed a clean WordPress installation. Installed Newspaper 7.1 and the issue still exists!

After theme update I have no new Elements in the Visual Composer, such like weather widget and new big grids. I have updated all plugins that I have downloaded with Newspaper 7, but new Elements didn’t appear.
But on local server everything works perfectly when I install demos with content.
P.S. I have last version of WordPress and Newspaper.

Since installing the theme in 2014, I’ve been using the boxed layout. I’m currently redesigning my website and want to change to a full width layout but can’t find a way to change it. (I’ve been looking this whole afternoon through the forums, documentation and theme panel, it’s probably something really easy that I completely missed)

You should install tagDiv Mobile Theme. Newspaper menu > plugins > and install tagDiv Mobile Theme!
How to make same view: desktop and mobile mode.

yesterday i update my theme but after updating many things happens at once
1 – My server Memory exhausted – i am using 4GB RAM but it was showing full, so i have to uninstall non theme plugins
2- Sidebar stopped to show Doubleclick code, and sidebar messed up
3- not supporting external code for mobile.
4 – Mobile theme is not so good as they Promote after installing mobile theme i checked in google speed insight, it was 68/100 but without using mobile theme it was 64/100
5 – dragging very slow in mobile
Please let me know from where i can download previous version of this theme
Newspaper theme has only a feature to animate images on load
Besides they have named it in the control panel as “Image loading – animations (LazyLoad)”
LazyLoad means loading images from server when the user is nearby the image which cut down bandwidth usage
To Test If LazyLoad Working
Clear All Caches on Your Browser
Open Your Home Page of Domain Where You Installed Newspaper Theme
Don’t scroll
Turn off WiFi or Network
Then Scroll down
If you can see all images then it means lazyloading is not working
Tagdiv must remove the name Lazyload from it
They don’t really lazyload images they just animate them
