NewsMag 1.7.1 killed our server again ! - reply

Hi,

is TD-SHIM meant for Newsmag only? I installed it on Newspaper and some shortcodes didn’t get through like Chris S noted, plus the following ones:
[rev_slider_vc alias=”slider4″ el_class=”zindex”]
[vc_empty_space height=”32px”]
[vc_raw_js]/*content*/[/vc_raw_js]

Everything else was working fine (for me), this is interesting and looks promising, thanks!

I have big problem. Afer i installed tagdiv speed boster and activated the plugin. All images from my website have dissapeared.

I switched off most of plugins, and images are still of.

Padding on plugins, widgets - topic

When using widgets from the Appearance tab, I’ve noticed there’s no margin/white space/padding between the top of the widget and the menu, or the bottom of the widget and the footer.

Also, when I installed The Events Calendar plugin, there’s no margin/padding between the menu and footer for the calendar and all its pages.

Help?

Thanks Chris, I’ll have a look at those links.

Bare in mind that this is the same guy who’s advising me to install a plugin that is no longer supported and hasn’t been updated for 10 months lol 🙂 Think I’ll pass, thanks.

increased that and installed it again. Seemed to work for a second then said it was deactivated due to error. Honestly, even if fixed – this is just to buggy for me. I need a bullet proof solution with easy updates. I can’t risk this failing or erroring out down the road when I really push the limits of this. Please just refund the order – I’ll delete it and have no use due to the risk involved. Thx. Wish it would have worked out.

Hi,

The activation warning appears a few days after you installed the theme, till then you can use the theme. Also plese check the following guides when the activation message appear:

Hi,

I see you use an very old theme version (1.7) while the latest version is 4.6.3 now available on themeforest: http://themeforest.net/downloads so you need to change this sign theme’s customizer: http://screencast.com/t/ZIeLRKDWf2q If this cusomtizer isn’t working for you then you would have to update your theme and use the latest version’s features and panel to change the copyright date and text as you like.

To update the theme please follow the theme update guide paste below and make sure you backup your current theme an WordPress installations so you can revert back to them if something goes wrong: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Use thew instructions from this guide and update the theme to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/ – download the latest theme from themeforest: http://themeforest.net/downloads then use the FTP method and remove the old theme files and upload the new ones. After this you’ll or you can use the Visual Composer plugin to build you pages/posts content and layouts: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/

Make sure you go trough all theme’s documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/

Where can I check whether I activated my theme or not?

Its in the installation steps but I dont have the activate theme button it seems..

When I unzipped the plugins manually it indeed worked. Still strange that it took very long to install.
Could there be a setting blocking the install option?

Hi,

Did you used patch to update your theme? I have already asked you from what theme version did you updated?
Please note that if you used an older version than 4.6.2 you make a fresh install of the theme via FTP and no use only patch – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Also if you use child theme, please check this with main theme and make sure that your child theme is updated to the latest version.

Install via FTP; unzip the plugin folder on your hard drive, then upload folder to
/wp-content/plugins/

delete any js_composer folder there now prior to FTP upload.

This works.

Hello,

Installing the theme by using WordPress installer doesn’t work because of stylesheet.css. (Yes I’m uploading newsmag.zip instead of newsmag-tf.zip).

So i tried FTP and By FTP everything seems to work but then the plugins fails to install. (yes, I placed newsmag map in wp-themes).
When trying to install the required plugins I waited about 20 mins but it’s still installing js_composer.zip…

This should obviously be done in < 1 minute. Any idea on how this is possible?

(assuming you tried deactivating your other plugins first; some people having issues with YOAST latest edition and conflict with Visual Composer 4.5 on some servers; issue with those plugins not theme — see the support threads on wordpress.org for yoast, for more info)

1) increase default php memory for WordPress in your wp-config.php file to 256MB. I’ve found, oddly, that for some reason, on some setups, changing the amount of memory via theme panel and php.ini does *not* actually increase amount of memory WordPress will actually use … adding the setting ALSO in config file makes difference.

or

2) fully delete the js_composer folder, reinstall either the latest version from theme, or install version from prior theme version.

i have 3 sites running the same theme and i dont have a single issue. i just reinstalled this site from scratch so excuse me if i didnt have a chance to fill content… i just put 2 quick links to test sharing. just please if you honestly don’t have a solution to my problem that will fix it, stop writing your opinion and let someone from tagdiv provide me a solution. im really glad your site works for you and that all is gucci for you, im trying to run my business. no disrespect intended whatsoever.

I have installed newsmag demo and cleaning up whole site, everything going fine, but when i add new widgets in Footer1 in widgets area, it is not showing up, the demo content only still showing up, please help me to fix this issue!!

so i did a whole delete of my site, reinstalled domain with the theme, and still getting countless errors while using facebook debug tool… is there anyone from tagdiv available to help me out with my issue? my site is instacomedy.com and sharing posts on fb is all messed up
