Delete the td composer plugin and install the updated version that came with version 8.7. That will solve your problem. But make sure you update the theme first via FTP before updating the plugin.

I uploaded 8.7 successfully, but when clicking activate, the screen goes white and I loose complete access to the back end. I spent an hour with my hosting company to get access back. It seems that the composer plugin might have been the issue, once we deactivated the 2.0 composer plugin and reinstalling 8.6 and the original plugin, its working again. How can I get the 8.7 update to work correctly? Thanks

Hi, I installed version 8.7, but I have problems.
The posts can be seen very well, but the homepage shows the first two menus and nothing else. Also with the plugin for amp I do not display the menu on pages and posts.

Try and disable the tagdiv multipurpose plugin and see if it works coz that’d what initially made my theme panel to behave like that. (Delete the plugin and then install the one that came with version 8.7. Also remember to update td composer.).

Hi,

Please make sure that also tagdiv plugins were updated. Try to update them manually.
After you update the theme to the latest version 8.7 please deactivate and delete tagdiv composer and multipurpose and reinstall them from the theme package you download from themeforest – https://www.screencast.com/t/qW9yhmKst
If the issue persist please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can take a look.

Thanks!

Hello Jose,

Please try to follow all of the above steps and make a new clean install to another sub-domain for testing after you have made a full back up to your database and check the results. Use the FTP method for update the theme.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello MOKANA,

Do you have made a full backup to your database? I recommend you to do this and make a new fresh install to another sub-domain for testing with FTP method because this is the surest method in this case. The theme has been fully tested and should work as expected. Notice that if you will use some untested plugins all of these might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page together with these elements that you do not work. Make sure that you have right backed up your website and all of your information are there. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

Please do not reply in your own topic, this will only delay the response. We answer from oldest to newest, all topics will receive a reply in that order.

Regarding the issue, check in the widgets section to see what element is present in that location in the sidebar. That could be causing the issue.

Also check to see if it is a plugin conflict. Deactivate all the plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Clear all caching and CDN files. Then check the results.

Make sure you have updated all the theme plugins as well, deactivate and remove them. Re-install them from the latest theme package.

Thanks

Hi,

For anyone who still has problems, please try the suggestions Chris provided. Most important update theme by FTP, steps here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Update all the theme plugins. Deactivate and remove them, reinstall from theme package. The tagDiv composer and multi-purpose version is now 2.0
https://www.screencast.com/t/CqK7d2S0p0
Clear all caches (browser cache as well) and CDN if used, then check the results. There should be no problems anymore.

If there are still problems please open new topics each, for further investigation.

Hi,

That is quite an old theme version, much has changed in the theme since then. However you can make the update and there should be no problem. Follow this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Update by FTP if possible, this is the most recommended method in the matter. After the update deactivate the tagDiv composer, this composer may cause issues to pages built with Visual composer. It will be activated by default when the theme is installed or updated.

The tagDiv composer is considered the main theme page builder now, Visual composer will still be included in the package and updated along theme updates

Hi There

I have installed a Facebook Comments Plugin.

But I’m facing an issue, the plugin is appearing just before the ‘Below post ads’.

I want the ads to appear first, then the facebook comments.

Even the Social Share and News Source is appearing after the FB Comments.

Hi. Delete the tagdiv composer and tagdiv multipurpose plugins and reinstall them afresh from Newspaper>Plugins section.

Hello Pumbany,

We only recommend the FTP method for updating your theme because this is the surest way in this case. Usually, the Envato Toolkit plugin seems to be problematic and that’s why we recommend the FTP method, according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hi
I need to install a chat demo in the site, but when I try to insert the javascript code in “Custom Javascript”, the system show me alerts. The code was given to me by the company (zopim). The newspaper theme panel say “Please do not include the <script> </ script>”, and if I delete this, the system shows me alert messages. I do not know how to enter it. the code is

<!–Start of Zendesk Chat Script–>
<script type=”text/javascript”>
window.$zopim||(function(d,s){var z=$zopim=function(c){
z._.push(c)},$=z.s=
d.createElement(s),e=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];z.set=function(o){z.set.
_.push(o)};z._=[];z.set._=[];$.async=!0;$.setAttribute(‘charset’,’utf-8′);
$.src=’https://v2.zopim.com/?5UGUoBISPPvytCAgmH44AniqGGti4trK&#8217;;z.t=+new Date;$.
type=’text/javascript’;e.parentNode.insertBefore($,e)})(document,’script’);
</script>
<!–End of Zendesk Chat Script–>

Thank!

Hi,

@rihasi
Please try to provide all the details in one posting, if you keep replying in the topic you will only delay the response. We answer from oldest to newest. Note the support hours mentioned in the top right corner as well.

You mention you had problem using the multi-purpose plugin since purchasing the theme, you could have mentioned this before. We would have investigated the issue. The HTTP error is an internal server error.

You could try these suggestions. Reinstall theme by FTP
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Deactivate and remove the theme plugins and install them again from the latest theme package. Deactivate all other plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Clear all caching and CDN cache if used.

Check if the error is still present. If it is, that would mean there is a problem with the hosting server. Check with them, mention the theme requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Maybe there are also logs kept by the server that could be helpful to identify what is causing this problem. Let us know the conclusions.

Thanks

Hi,

The theme panel settings can be exported/imported when migrating the website
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Anything else would be standard website migration
https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-to-a-new-host-or-server-with-no-downtime/
The duplicator plugin is highly recommended in the matter.

The positioning of the slider has a simple explanation. In the first website you provided, the politics demo is installed.

By default all pages have a padding top set by the theme, the politics demo when installed will deny that padding with a negative margin
https://www.screencast.com/t/uTFFjjKq
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZOZJnCEq1Q

This can be achieved without installing the politics demo. Either remove the padding top with CSS, or set a similar negative margin to the row containing the slider
https://www.screencast.com/t/bpsVWamZy
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZOoL1dF8Zc

The Envato plugin may not be the best method to update. There are other more reliable methods
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
By FTP is the most recommended among all of them. Also remember to update the theme plugins as well.

Thanks

Hello,

I have inspected your website and your Ad seems do not work. It’s a blank square as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/8MwhfLmm Also, I have inspected your console page and I saw that you have some errors through it. Please try to disable all of your untested plugins, purge all CDN files, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch to another sub-domain for testing and ensure that you have right implemented your ads according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/ Also, first of all, check your ad code to be a valid one if you want to bring best theme results.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

I used to use the Visual Composer for my homepage and all other pages on my website. Since I want to use the new
TD functionalities I want to switch to the tagDiv Composer following the guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

I updated the theme to 8.7 and installed the tagDiv Composer that came with it but I can’t reate any page using tagDiv Composer; here is what happens:

– if I create a blank new page and try to edit through the tagDiv Composer I see my 404 error page which I cannot edit with this error messgae on top of the page : Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!#

-if I create a blank new page, save it as a draft and then try to edit through the tagDiv Composer I see my homepage and I can’t edit it either

Could you please help?
