Here is talking about a Tabs/Carousel Slider. We cannot say for sure why the mod_security provides this error but if that is causing the issues, do not use it. Most of the times, hosting features such as security, caching, optimization is not recommended to be used as they will conflict with WP. Disable any hosting related “features” and install WordPress specific tools to take the hosting solution’s place.

Are the demos supposed to have NO pictures in the folder?
How can I see if my package is incomplete, same error as another user, when installing a demo, the picture, thumbnails and many other things are missing….
So if there should be pictures inside, then it is clear I received an incomplete version of the theme yesterday from Envato Market.
BTW, I just overwrote all wordpress files.
Strange thing is… I don’t get the redirect loop timeout when I activate td_composer with twenty-twenty, only when using Newspaper theme (which is a clean install of the theme).

Changes to core files are what’s concerning me most now. I’m unable to locate the culprit and have already changed to vanilla .htaccess and wp-config.php
Does anyone know any other files that could cause this err_too_many_redirects ??
I installed Newspaper on test site on same server and tagDiv works on fresh install. Just can’t figure out what file or setting is screwed up on main site.

I installed wp-optimize and deleted transients. Likely a good thing, but didn’t fix my problem. Also resaved permalinks.

I want to display the date of the comments as “X hours ago / X days ago” rather than “Month/Day/Year”. In order to do so, I installed the plugin “Time Ago” by MEKS.
However, I get this error message:
date() expects parameter 2 to be integer, string given in /home/alber870/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_module_single_base.php on line 290
Line 290 of the code reads this:

I contacted MEKS regarding this issue and they recommended contacting TagDiv support since they said it has to do with the Newspaper theme and the WordPress standard human_time_diff() function: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/human_time_diff.

is it normal that the demo folders do not contain any pictures? No wonder they are not getting installed, I guess the same is then for the thumbnails and icons? Could the download-package been incomplete or broken?
I have eliminated the issue down to strangely enough, the “Newspaper” theme.
I can enable td_composer with standard wp theme, but it seems to have this redirect issue when logging into dashboard or login page only when “Newspaper” theme is installed.
Again, all plugins disabled using default .htaccess and wp-config.php files.
I’m running on a dedicated server with cPanel and CloudLinux installed. All systems go in Newspaper’s System Status in theme panel.
Question… could there have a been a theme update in the past 10 months that would have made a database change? I deleted entire “Newspaper” directory and re-uploaded new folder with version 8.
I have nothing else to eliminate. Or do I? Maybe I can reupload a fresh wordpress install.
What should I do?
Update: I converted multisite install to single site. No dice. Problem with “err_too_many_redirects” continues when tagDiv Composer is activated.
Thing is… I have a lot of plugins (currently disabled) that has never caused this problem. None of tagDiv’s other plugins have ever caused an issue.
So currently, all plugins are disabled. The following files have been reverted to default: wp_config.php and .htaccess
The problem still persists but only when I activate tagDiv Composer by itself.
Next step is to try tagDiv composer with twenty-twenty them.
I’d appreciate any help or suggestions from support or community at large.

Did you try to fix the other error i have, i cannot install a demo theme completely as it only installs half of it, no pics and so on. As described in my email. So I thought must be this as you are probably experimenting around to get that working. ???
Situation now is not changed, so I cannot activate nor can i install the demo. đ
Another question, any plugin you can recommend for the maintaining of admin and user accounts as the default has not much options. I like to have the it logged so i can see who logs in and out and does what, like a main admin who has admins under his control. I gave my 3 partners an admin account to go in there as well to learn working with the theme and help to design it how we want. Perhaps something went wrong, is that possible and if yes is there any log file i can check and see that?

I guess I found out the hard way. I implore you add this disclosure to upgrade instructions. I also find it beyond the pale with 40k+ users, you didn’t test this major release on a multisite install.
You cost me two days I’ll never get back.
BTW, my multisite environment was not created with a plugin.

However, I’m still unable to get the access token (I only get a red “please wait” message). ALSO, since it failed, I checked the newly installed Social Counter plugin version, and it’s the same I had: 3.1 instead of 4.1!!!

Forgive me if I’m just blind and have completely missed it but I have several existing photo galleries that I’d like setup on a “galleries” page like I did previous to installing newspaper but I don’t even see an option to create one. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Please disable the tagdiv composer plugin. That is the solution. Keeping both plugins active creates problems. Tagdiv composer installs itself automatically in the new version so it must be disabled if not used.

Hi,
The theme reset will remove all the theme panel settings, and the content of an installed demo. But I don’t know how a theme panel setting could prevent the restriction form appearing on the post page, if you are absolutely sure that the plugin configuration is set according to it’s instructions. And it worked before.
You could revert to the previous theme version, to have a working website with this feature, and make more tests with the new version. Make a fresh install by FTP, install only these required plugins and test. Maybe some other plugin is causing all these problems.

It could be a plugin that is causing the issue. Try as a test if possible, to deactivate all your plugins except the ones included in the theme package, clear any caching installed and check if the problem is solved. Switch to the main theme if you are using a child theme. Check any customization you might have made to the theme files, or added in theme panel.
The theme makes many requests to admin-ajax file, the security module from your server may treat it as a threat. In some cases this file is banned by the server and the theme cannot access it anymore. Try to contact your host provider and ask if that file is banned or if there is any firewall on the server which may block the request.
While saving in the theme panel, press F12 to see if there are any errors in the browser inspector console.
