If you installed the example plugin provided in that tutorial, and made the modification like in the screenshot, it should work properly. Add the code exactly as shown, and do not make any other modifications in the block php file.

Please notice that at the latest theme version we have released our page builder which is named TD Composer and also, wich come ready installed with the theme. Also, please notice that if you will install the Visual Composer, besides this plugin, notice that might appears some conflicts. Please do not use any other version of VC except the one provide in the theme package. Do not update directly from the plugin author if you have purchased the plugin. Please uninstall your version of vc and delte the plugin and install it again from the main theme package you download from envato.
Please also keep in mind you should not use both page builders at the same time.

Please try to disable all of the untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Leave just to active only the plugins come bundled with the theme core files, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if the problem will be still there, you should try making a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and check the results. Notice that our mobile theme was fully tested and should work as expected with the theme if it was right installed according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

After this, please ensure that you are using the latest theme version and also, the latest version of required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Notice that our theme was fully tested with all of these browsers and the item should work as expected with all of them. If the problem is still there, you should make a new fresh install from scratch via FTP way and check the results.

Unfortunately page speed is a very personal issue and it depends on lots of things starting from the host you use all the way down to the content on your site.
If you use lots of complex elements, you need a more powerful host to handle the ajax calls. We cannot help in that decision though. Please use gtmetrix as well as google page speed insight and follow their advice for page speed optimization.

Yes, there are supposed to be pictures in your install. They will be present in the media library when imported.
The main reasons for a demo not being installed properly are as follows:
1) memory allocation: please make sure you follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
2) mbstring – Make sure you have it active on your host: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6658561/how-to-enable-mbstring-from-php-ini depending on host you can contact your host provider to ask about mbstring activation as some have restricted access to php extensions.
3) plugins – Please try to disable all plugins and clear all caching before attempting to install a demo.

You do not need to buy the Visual composer plugin, simply install it and use it

However you should consider using the newly introduced tagDiv composer, future updates will include more features exclusively for this page editor
