Hi, I’m just trying to change the font of single words in tag-div composer “column text”.
I did this:
– create a class called “font-change” in my H1 tag
– used the span tag for the only word I want to change the font
<h1 class="font-change">Hi my name is <span>Fede</span></h1>.
– in custom css:
.font-change span{
font-family: Sofia;
}
I want that “Sofia” font only on one word; it’s a google font, and I have google fonts activated from my theme panel.
This cose works for Verdana, Helvetica, Times ecc, but not for other google fonts.
Is there something wrong? Have I to enable something from the theme panel?
This is what I get when I tried to activite TagDiv composer:
“The plugin does not have a valid header.”
“Downloading installation package from http://staging.shelterforce.flywheelsites.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/td-composer.zip?uid=5ccc6f540d20d…”
“Download failed. Unauthorized”
What do I do?
Hi Calin,
TD composer is only for the homepage sidebar, right? I’m using widgets for my sidebar on blog posts:
https://snag.gy/Qyb37d.jpg
I can’t use TD composer for this sidebar, right? Or at least I’m not aware of it.
Hi Simion,
Thank you for your advice. I have changed it to the Page Buiilder + Overlay Menu but still to no avail. I built the page with Tagdiv composer. The header background is still not transparent.

Hi,
I have checked the Installation on one of my test site. Doing a fresh install. However, When I install the tagdiv composer plugin the site breaks. I reach at this conclusion by activating all the required plugin first other than tagdiv composer plugin. Lastly When I install the tagdiv composer plugin the site breaks.
So, In my opinion it is the tagdiv composer plugin which breaks the site.
Waiting to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Sanjay
Hi,
There is a known issue currently with single image elements used in pages built with WPBakery, when the tagDiv composer is also active. It has been identified however and will be fixed in the next theme update. Sorry for this inconvenience.
I can provide you with the fix for the time being – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/single-image-widget-settings/
If there are other issues as well, please post a link to the website so I can inspect it. Let me know.
Thanks
This CSS I used is based on the text with title element. If this solution is not the best, maybe you can construct this box with HTML and CSS, and use no composer elements.
I don’t have a guide for this, there should be some online. For example like this
– https://www.bforbloggers.com/content-boxes/
Hi,
1. There are a few ways. For example you can edit the post, then check which post template is used – http://prntscr.com/njw3e7
If you need help, provide some links to some pages on your website, so I can take a look.
2. They will be lost unfortunately. With older theme versions it would have been possible to do it in a child theme, which is more update proof. But now after the 9.7 update the post template files (except the default post template that can still be modified in a child theme) are in the composer plugin so a child theme won’t work for them.
This current functionality may change in the future, to allow safer and more reliable customization of the theme files. I can’t say for sure what will happen.
Thanks
Hi,
To embed a youtube video in a page all you need to do is to copy the like of that video -> https://www.screencast.com/t/VtrnuTn8rq after that set a column text with tagDiv Composer in page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gLWh9Jzx6
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
This warning https://prnt.sc/njf963 appear when the page is open in back-end editor and saved the page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gB5El0tWFC if you will click on save on TagDiv Composer and open the page again directly in Composer that warning should not appear.
To change that background image you need to edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer, click on image , and click on css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FC5orqGa
Thank you!
Good morning.
Have an issue with my Tag Div Composer not saving. Rendering it impossible to make any changes. I’ve noticed this might have come inside with adding ‘classic editor’ but have since removed and deleted but problem still persists.
Have tried deactivating all plugins to solve conflicts. Problem still persists.
Have followed all previous advise in other forum posts found but not luck.
Looking for some advice, thanks.
Hi,
@printing3d This method is quite old, there are other ways now. Now it is possible to create category templates with the tagDiv composer (cloud templates)
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Category
Using a cloud category template, the category description is an element, it can be positioned in any location possible – http://prntscr.com/njvs57 so displaying it just before the footer is a matter of drag and drop – http://prntscr.com/njvsjj
The code solution may still work, but it would be impractical. Since the 9.7 update many theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer plugin – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
So they can’t be modified in a child theme anymore, they have to be modified in the plugin. This means this modification will have to be made after each theme update. The category template files are now here – http://prntscr.com/njvtzb
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Please notice that writing multiple times in the same topic only delays the answer. In order to get a fast response, please write once and wait for an answer. The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.
Also please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Also for the 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
You’ll need to add some posts in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured

Hi,
The Newspaper theme update brings a change for the theme implementation.
When you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used.
Otherwise, you will have basic WordPress functionality, complying with Envato WordPress Requirements – https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements
Please read this article we wrote on the new update https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ to learn what it changes and what you must do in order to keep the functionality intact.
The 521 error is a Cloudflare error/problem, please make sure that you made all settings for Cloudflare ( CDN ) like in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ also clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thank you!
Hi,
Since theme update 9.7 most of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv composer plugin – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
As a consequence the child theme is limited to just a few files from the theme now.
So the file you are looking for is now here – http://prntscr.com/njv7ah and it can’t be modified in the child theme anymore. You would have to modify it there if this is required. Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
That is the default theme demo – https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Pages will be provided when a demo is installed, with content – http://prntscr.com/nju4q3
Then the demo homepage will be imported and you can edit it with the composer, and configure the elements in it to show the posts you want
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Also replace the other demo elements with your own (logo, menus etc).
If you want just the homepage, I can provide you with the code for it, here it is
– https://pastebin.com/6hejgpuE
You can enter this code in a new page – http://prntscr.com/nju7gc then edit it with the composer and configure it. The default demo doesn’t have many specific elements, it is the simplest demo.
Let me know if you have more questions, or you need help.
Thanks
Hi,
The mobile editor is for simple text, images, and what is possible with it. Entering composer shortcodes in it will not work properly and may cause problems. The mobile version is separated from composer elements and the main theme, it has it’s own files, doesn’t have many settings that may slow it down etc. This is why it is faster.
If displaying composer elements on mobile is needed, the solution is to disable the mobile theme plugin.
What exactly would you like to edit regarding the mobile latest articles section? If you want to do code modifications to it, in the homepage, the file is here (since update 9.7)
Thanks
Hello !
In order to make the site full width you have to select every row of your page using the tagDiv Composer and then set the stretch mode you want like here : https://www.screencast.com/t/BkWwdHh6
In order to make the post page full width you will have to add a single post template and then edit it. Check more about how to have single post template here: https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/
Thank you !
Hi,
Sorry for the delay, there are many topics currently, and also taking into account the previous days off. We try to reply as soon as possible.
From what I can see there are indeed different, edit screen vs result. What page builder were the pages built with? Also if possible post some links to a page where this happens so I can inspect it.
If they are built entirely with the tagDiv composer and they contain only elements that are provided in it, then they should display properly at all times. If on the other hand they were built with WPBakery and then edited with our composer, there could be problems.
You can also send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and allow us admin access, provide links to these pages so we can investigate. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
There is a problem currently with that header style, we will fix it in the next theme update. If you want to use it, there is a fix I can provide you. It will require that you make a modification to that header style.
The file is in the tagDiv composer plugin here – http://prntscr.com/njtggo
Add this code instead of the default code found there ads.php
After the modification it should be like this – http://prntscr.com/njth37 and it should work properly when selected.
Sorry for this inconvenience, please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Block 22 is a predefined block, it will always look the same
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-22/
When on two columns there will be only one module.
You could check some block designs made by us based on flex blocks, maybe you find something you like or similar to block 22
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
For example this one – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/page/Blocks/537
These can also be modified, flex blocks have many customization options
– https://tagdiv.com/discover-flex-blocks-customization/
– https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-flex-block-elements/
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
So when you edit that header with the composer there are errors. What if you import the header again from the cloud library and try to edit it?
If the same happens, we could take a look at it. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
The tagDiv composer plugin is now even more required than before, but the theme can still be used without it. However it will be limited quite severely. For example without the composer there will be just one post template – http://prntscr.com/njstyc
This happens because after the 9.7 update many theme files were moved in the composer plugin, without it being active the files will not load.
If you relied on WPBakery to build the website, and there are problems after updating, maybe you should consider using the previous theme version (9.6.1) before this changes were made, for the time being. That version can be downloaded from here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/important-new-update-newspaper-9-7/
We will try to eliminate conflicts that may happen between our composer and WPBakery, in coming updates. You could attempt the update at a later time. Also maybe consider creating a testing copy of the website on a sub-domain for example, and update there to see what happens. This would be a safer way.
Hi,
So the composer is slow when editing pages? Does it happen regardless of browser used?
You could first check the theme requirements guide, make sure there are enough resources
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Note the code provided at the bottom of the guide, add it in the htaccess file.
If there is no need to increase the resources, try investigating plugins. Maybe a plugin is causing it. As a quick test deactivate all non-theme plugins, then test to see if there is an improvement.
Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
I am using Newspaper 9 and the Tagdiv composer but I have a problem : I don’t know how to suppress empty columns. I have a lot of them and it is quite annoying. It must be easy but I don’t see how…
