To add to my comment…

1- Using Composer, how would I select a unique sidebar for different WooCommerce single product pages?

As far as other pages:

2- I see Composer working for the main WooCommerce pages like: Shop, Checkout, Cart.

3- But not for Single Product pages or My Account page.

4- How My Account works with the interlinking tabs, it doesn’t seem possible to use Composer.

Hi,

You can make them sticky, for the moment only when the 2/3 + 1/3 layout is used. Please check bottom part of this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
There are plans in a coming new update to expand the possibilities of using sticky sections with the composer.

Thanks

In my case only the categories afferent to the language of the page are shown. So for example I have only one translated category in French
https://www.screencast.com/t/8YevfAEtYCTt
While creating a page in French
https://www.screencast.com/t/OWDcRkqkEY
Enable the ajax filter, at first all the accessories will be shown, all languages
https://www.screencast.com/t/x44umIK9
If you save the page and view it, only the categories that belong to that language will show
https://www.screencast.com/t/aYmXuHvu
If you enter IDs of categories in that language, only those will show. Be sure to save the page and view it, not as you are editing it in the composer.

I created some Pages with td composer and used the widget sidebar. The sidebars are not sticking like the smart sidebars, that is used when I don’t create the page with td composer. Is there any way I can make them sticky?

Hi,

After activating the child theme the home page and category pages has a normal header, but the content below is white blank. In the browser console it shows a 500 error. Regular pages (with out tagdiv composer blocks) and single posts works fine. The strangest thing is that when the the homepage loads and show blank area on the content part, the homepage works fine when clicking at “home” on the navigation (which directs to the very same page), but while just performing a manual page refresh the content is blank. Any idea?

Hi,

IS this happening on all pages? Please try with a new page. If this is specific to one or a few pages only, then those pages were either not built with the tagDiv composer or maybe they contain elements that were not inserted with it. Let us know what you find.

Thanks

Goodmorning,

since I update Newspaper Theme and td composer (last version of both) I had a problem with composer. The error is “502 Bad Gateway nginx”.

I disabled all my plugins but the error persist. All the checks of the theme are green. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times (via ftp and via wordpress installer), but the error persist.

Can you help me to understand what’s the error? I really need it!

Hello,

Your composer could be an older version and gets disabled by the theme plugin checker. In this case please update your plugin like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/

Thank you!

Hi,

Once activated the composer should be displayed as an option to edit all pages. You could check the theme system status panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources are the number one cause for theme or theme plugins issues.

Thanks

Hello,

The method seems to work fine on all 3 links.

The new cloud library templates allow this to be added from the tagdiv composer directly now: https://www.screencast.com/t/4UT4bKLEL

Thank you!

Hello,

In the tagdiv composer you can create a sidebar directly on that page using a split row and a ‘widget sidebar’ element. Please read this guide to learn how to use the page builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thank you!

Hello,

You can implement your widget using a do_shortcode function in the theme post template files or by adding it on a new post tmepalte using the cloud library plugin. You can add the shortcode on the post template in a column text element. Please use this guide to import a post style from the cloud templates and to edit it in the tagdiv composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thank you!

That is unusual indeed, any plugin should not deactivate by itself unless maybe this is supposed to happen and triggered by an action. Like the theme update in the composer case.

So the composer should only deactivate itself after a theme update if the automatic update has failed. If that happens click update manually and also check if the update is successful, check the timestamp of the plugin

Yes. Not all settings are found in the theme panel. Please check the tagdiv composer styles tab.

Thanks.

Hi,

The theme panel font settings are general, the ones you set in the composer will replace the theme panel settings. So all the font settings in the theme panel are replaced by the more specific ones you make for each block, grid etc.

Thanks

Hello i have a multisite WordPress and i need show on the “main” site some recent posts from the “secondary” web.

I just need to show it on a simple grid but will be create if this will be posible in the tagDiv composer.

Tnks for the support and Regards.

For some reason the “random posts today” setting isn’t generating any posts on my grid. I checked out the block in the TagDiv Composer and it says “no posts”. My time is set to U.S. Eastern Time. If I change the element’s settings to anything else (including the other random post options) it shows posts.

I’ve been having an issue where my mobile menu doesn’t open. When clicked, the background just goes grey. I’ve checked Page Speed Insights, deactivated all plug-ins besides TD Composer, and cleared cache.

What I just found out is that the menu actually does open, but it takes 2 minutes! Screenshare: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nMGmZKCzUk.

Thanks for any fixes!

Hello,

I have a similar issue as noted above. The tagDiv Composer sidebar does not show the full-width of all the fields it needs to show, which makes it difficult to use.

Help would be great.

Hi Simion, I did some preliminary tests of Composer and the WooCommerce shortcodes… Using the shortcodes in Composer doesn’t seem to be easy. Composer breaks the CSS and weird design issues come up.

I know Newspaper isn’t a WooCommerce focused theme, but when Composer hinders the use of a core plugin that is developed by WordPress (WooCommerce) I start to raise an eyebrow. And I’m not only speaking about this issue.

When Composer is enabled it disables sidebar selection on a page per page use case. Even on pages that aren’t being developed with Composer. It just doesn’t make sense from my perspective.

Just my thoughts.

Best,

IC

A major drawback to having Composer activated is the loss of sidebars on WooCommerce pages.

I guess I’m not sure why if we’re not using Composer to design the pages, then why do we not have basic theme functionality of those page?

Best,
IC
