We were using another theme that used the same visual composer as the one on Newspaper but as far as I know were weren’t using any shortcodes on articles. One of the editors on the site said he tried to make a new post today (after changing to your theme) and the same stuff showed up. I just noticed the visual composer plugin is out of date though. Maybe updating it will fix it?
Hello,
Yes, we do plan on moving over to our own builder. We plan on adding many more features to it so it will become a very powerful tool. Visual composer is no longer a required plugin and it will no longer receive any new features. On each update the new features (page blocks, grids, modules) added will be exclusively for the tagdiv composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes you will still be able to use those. The transition to the new composer is meant to be as easy as possible. Here is some more useful information
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks
Hi,
I believe that is a background set on a row, I could be mistaking. Please try and deactivate the tagDiv composer editor and see if the image you set is displaying properly. Please try to not use both editors at the same time for your pages, this may lead to problems. However you should consider recreating your page using the new front-end composer, as in future updates features will be added exclusively for this editor. Here is a guide for the page editor

Thanks
Hello svharishtech,
Unfortunately, we do not recommend using VC and TD Composer simultaneously because there may be some errors in the future. We recommend using our own TD Composer though as in the future updates we will release new features exclusively on own page builder.
For more information about the transition between these two-page builders, please check our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for the message!
Thanks for the answer. But it is sad to hear that, as i cannot go on TD composer fully 🙂
Hello gntvls,
Unfortunately, our page builder does not have any such an option for Tabs and the shortcode of those are not recognized by TD Composer, sorry! In the future, it is possible to implement this feature but we cannot say for sure where exactly will be this date because it depends on our developer’s decision, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
I have similar problem.
I updated theme to 8, and when i want to edit my homepage with tagcomposer,it doesnt open, its just blank space with grey rolling circle, and nothing happens.
And some features made with visual composer aren’t showing on page. Post grid 8, separator.. slo-link.si.
Thank you for your help.
Well, i just upgraded to Newspaper 8. All i did was automatic update via Envato Pluin. Didn’t find any error so far, though there should be one. 😀
The new composer adapted to all elements perfectly. However, the tabs are still to be recreated. I’m still confused if i messed up somewhere. Why it is so clean? The homepage still shows some vc elements during editing though. M i supposed to remove them or let them be like that?
P.S- Already deactivated the VC plugin and deleted it.
Hi,
We try our best to reply as soon as possible, but there is a high volume of activity on the forum at the moment, due to the new update and new tagDiv composer editor.
It seems that the theme maybe did not install properly. You should try this method for best results – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Most important is to deactivate all the plugins except the ones provided with the theme, clear any caching installed and check again. On a fresh install the pagination works with no problem what so ever, also the background ad.
Thanks
Hi, I think that the td composer is fantastic
However, have you guys planned to totally replace visual composer in the future?
Don’t want to install for now as it doesn’t work on posts and can’t easily create things like buttons or other stuff with it, so I don’t want to keep 2 page builders 🙁
but I I swich to tagdivcomposer will i need to get rid of
[vc_row][vc_column] [vc_column_text]
Thanks again1
Hi,
The new composer that was introduced in the latest theme update should not be used together with the Visual composer editor. You can just leave it deactivated for the moment. However you should try and use the new tagDiv composer to recreate your page, and only use it from now on. In future theme updates new features will be released exclusively for this page builder. Her is a guide for the new front-end editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
The sub-menu items background and text hover color can be changed in the theme panel

Hi,
The new tagDiv composer is included in the latest Newspaper theme package
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
Here is a guide for this editor – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
The main novelty of the 8-th version:
You can now make pages on the front end using our tagDiv composer – the first pagebuilder ever created for blogs, news and magazine websites. The pagebuilder is much lighter than Visual Composer and it’s much easier to use.
tagDiv Composer tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Hi,
Visual composer is still available in the full theme package at the moment. When you install the demo it will look just like the live demo version, only with different dummy content.
Please try and download the theme package again and activate the theme. It should work properly now.
Thanks
Hi,
Please do not use the new tagDiv composer to edit a page created in Visual composer. This may lead to unexpected results. You should recreate your page using only the new front-end editor.
Thanks
Hi,
@sejpost You just have to create a new page using only tagDiv composer. Most of the elements that are available in Visual composer are present in the new editor. Use this guide to help you – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
It is not hard to use the the editor, it is just a matter of getting used to it. New features will be added to the tagDiv composer in future updates.
You can still use the widget sidebar element to add sidebars to pages, with this editor. The same sidebar can be used on pages and posts if that is what you are asking.
@travisnw It would be best and also recommended to use the new page editor for your pages. Please do not use both Visual composer and tagDiv composer on the same page.
Regarding the activation please try to activate the theme normally again.
@loirexplorer Please try making a clean theme install and use only the plugins provided with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
This guide made by Ing Geek may be useful and very informative when updating the theme

Hi svharishtech,
I’m using TD composer and VC at the same time and have been experimenting back and forth with both. So far, my experience has been positive. I’ve been able to create content with TagDiv composer and then able to switch over to VC and still have it render normally.
I’ve got an installation on a subdomain so I can play around with it first before I put it on my main site. I like to get my head around it before I send it live.
Hope that helps 🙂

I’ve made a new installation of a site using v8. Everything seems great apart from the pages are taking a long time to load. It seems as if the page is looking for a missing file. The Chrome console reports as follows:
.../wp-content/plugins/td-composer/css-live/assets/external/ace/ace.js?ver=__td_aurora_deploy_version__
Also:
http://192.168.0.208/wp_011_test_demos/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/1.jpg net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Yes that would be the general direction, in future updates new features will be available for the new page editor. Please note that the tagDiv composer is not hard to use, not to mention that it is a front-end editor. You can see the changes made and the page taking shape as you create it. More information in this tutorial
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
Hi,
It is recommended to use Visual composer only with the mentioned column layout
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Different layouts may not work properly, please use just the blue highlighted column layouts when creating the page.
You can also try the newly featured front-end tagDiv Composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ and see the elements as you are adding them to the page.
Thanks
Hello JohnBull,
Please notice that our Page builder is light than Visual Composer and after our tests, the theme seems to be faster than using Composer plugin. Most likely, you have some problems or customizations through your website which might influence the page speed and we recommend to optimize it, according to t our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme.
Thanks for the message!
Hmm I kinda thought that new composer is ment to replace old one and majority of blocks/grids are present. Tagdiv just forgot this one I suppose…
Hi,
The new theme update and the Tagdiv composer looks promising.
I have about 20 pages that use VC.
Is it possible that I use both VC and tagdiv composer together until i move all my pages to tagdiv composer one by one?
Or do i have to take the site offline and convert all my pages to tagdiv composer at one go?
