I thought I found a solution with the Visual Composer using the Post Grid – but haven’t been able to figure it out.
Thanks for the tip about commenting out the title and category. Here is a screen shot of the my layout in VC
and the VC code via pastbin http://pastebin.com/dVr6E25P the styling is done in custom CSS in the custom CSS section in the theme panel.
most of the design it is done via columns in visual composer, so the title is on the second column. I would still like to have the category properly updated for each post and appear just below the title on the second column, how could I do that with this layout?

Please notice that the infinite loading pagination works only for blocks as I explained you above. You have to add on your page only a block and set it the pagination to be infinite loading like this -> http://screencast.com/t/YmgtaVFTmn If you switch your blog to a static page and if you use a template pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/0nyt1kbJ the pagination of the latest article is a normal pagination (1,2,3…) because our theme does not have option to infinite loading pagination for this template implemented.

I have tested on my side and seems to works as expected. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and WP User Avatar, clear all your caches and test it again and see how it works. Maybe you have the automatic updates for your plugins and now it could be an interference between WP User Avatar and these plugins with WP ultimate update. Please try my advice and if your problem is still there after this advice please let me know.

Looks like its a plugin compatibility issue. It worked when all but visual composer were disabled. What do i do now?

Try to update the theme at the latest version available on themeforest, V 2.3.5: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using and test again.

You can edit your homepage using visual composer. Create a new page and add elements to it like in this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss-BEobegAw There is a slider element in visual composer and a big grid slide element as well.

I have checked your website and saw the issue with the block ajax filter. The top categories seem fine at the moment. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. this could be a plugin compatibility issue.

I meant by text mode that you have to access classic mode in order to enable the standard editor and then enter text mode so you can see the page shortcodes: http://screencast.com/t/vH0HvduxRehN
Visual composer can create issues if you are adding a row inside another row. If it’s the standard tab element from visual composer you are having trouble with, please use this shortcode and add it in text mode in a blank page (like the screenshot above):

If this tab also create issues let us know so we can investigate further. If it does not, then please try to recreate your tab and the content within it.

I have tested your website and everything seems to work as expected, your big grid works fine, as you can see -> http://screencast.com/t/w8pYhmEUiyv8 This kind of issue do not come from our theme…it comes from conflicting plugins. You have to disable all of them, except Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme to rule out the plugins in conflict. Also, you should clear all your caches and test it again and see how it works.
On the future, you can test on our demo preview and compare with your website and if the problem is the same it means that is a problem with our theme otherwise the problem come from your setup.

I suppose that you are referring to Related articles tabs. Unfortunately, there is not a simple task to add a new tab with other functionality. Please check this screenshot and here you can see which is generate the code

If you are not aware the steps which you will follow in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to implement this functionality for you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Thanks very much in advanced for your help. We’ve done an complete copy with back up of our site and tried it this way. The error that you show us does not appear when we do it at this end. We have turned off ALL plug ins except visual composer and the error persists. We also have tried using more than 4 pictures to force the slide to roll. How should we proceed? I’ve test the current theme version available on themeforest with the bbpress plugin and works fine. We didn’t tested the plugins that you indicated with the theme so there is a chance to appear some conflicts with theirs usage. To display Visual Composer elements in footer you ca use do_shortcode function like here:
– edit the file corresponding with the footer template used and add this code where do you want to disply the visual composer elements: http://screencast.com/t/8KlxxnmFF4
– to get the shortcode create a blank page, add on it your block then switch in backend editor, copy the code and paste it inside do_shortcode function: http://screencast.com/t/1kwkgW7ZkgGB – http://screencast.com/t/vIJbntv0P
Also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and bbpres, clear all caches and test again.

This problem can occur from a number of things. First of all please try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache to rule out a plugin conflict. If the problem is still there then it is the way the tabs are being created. Please try it on a blank page and just add the tab. WordPress is very sensitive to open tags in text mode. Edit your post/page in text mode and make sure you use the tabs outside other open html tags.

Regarding the H! tag this will still be recognized even if it’s added between an element from Visual Composer.

I have deactivated all other plugins and still problem persists.
Just for the information to have visual composer in the footer I am using combination of two plugins as theme doesnot allow anyway i can edit footer using VC elements. [If there is a way do let me know asap please!]

I used the plugin with the basic Newsmag configuration:
-theme version : 2.3.5
-Visual Composer version 4.9
-MyEffecto version 2.7
I also used the plugin with a mega menu and seams to work fine: http://screencast.com/t/wG5kAddHgleh You can try to make a new local install on your computer, with the latest version of WordPress, the current version of the theme available on themeforest, V 2.3.5, Visual Composer and MyEffecto plugins and test again.

Please try to identify where this comes from. This kind of problems usually occur from conflicting plugins. Are you sure you disabled ALL plugins? Please disable all of them except visual composer and clear your cache. Also check the post settings and set the slider post limit above 4 posts (that is the default value) and make sure you have more than 4 posts to display in that particular category.
