Try to clear all caches, deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active and test again, also verify the console for any errors while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.

Increase max_execution_time at least at 300 and the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000. Those values are set in php.ini file so try to access it but note that some hosts may restrict the access at this file, if you don’t have access to it contact your host provider and let him know about this situation. Also check the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT from wp-config.php file, here it’s a guide regrading this

We have not encountered this issue before nor could we recreate it on our end. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache to rule out a plugin conflict that might interfere with the video. if the problem is still there afterwards, please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it.

After upgrading to the new js_composer (v4.9) bundled with newspaper while still under newspaper 4 theme we started to get:
“Hey! I am first heading line feel free to change me” in pages. I’ve tracked this back to a string in one of the js_composer files under plugins/js_composer/locale/default.po
We’ve upgraded to newspaper version 6 but still have this issue.
Any ideas would be helpful at this point.

I think I should of used my site design to explain better, see image below. Since I already have the feature image and title made out of visual composer and the rating section on the right, I don’t think I can just use the existing title from the post template and move into my content made from visual composer. because the rating section on the right may not position correctly. correct me if I’m wrong about this.
So I was thinking maybe I could hide the post title and feature image from the post template, and use my own made from visual composer. And how can I best hide the title in post template to not hurt my seo and use my made up title (h1 title) in visual composer? will google pickup this H1 title if I make it in visual composer?
but I think with my meathod I won’t be able to put the category tags under the title made in visual composer. its a bit hard to decide for me right now. :/
Regardless; not all themes are the same. Some themes are just text, like the default ones with WP; some include complex page builders like Visual Composer. If your theme has 5 options it doesn’t need much horsepower, with 50 options it does.
Only you can optimize all the problems with your site from the GTmetrix and Pagespeed Insights reports. You’ll have same issue with any big complex theme like this.
But once you optimize your site, it works great.
20 sec page load is an issue with all the problems listed which impact how “fast page loads…”
If you’re loading large images vs compressed, if the page elements are not gzip/compressed for browser, it takes 3x as long to load.
You will have to follow the guidelines to optimize your site for ANY complex theme.

1. I’ve checked the background click ad functionality on my side and works fine. Please make sure that you set your background ad according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-background-ads/ deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
2. When a background-image it’s used the theme switch in boxed layout all content, including the header. This was the original implementation and to change it are required many customizations in theme’s files. This is a complex task and unfortunately I can’t provide a solution now. If you need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.

The photon feature of jetpack’s plugin generates and serves a new, re-sized image based on img element’s width and height attributes” besides the one theme smart list adds to the page.
The jetpack photon feature can cause issues and while the theme works based on the same system (creates and serves/uses thumbnails for each uploaded image). Also I’ve checked the smart list functionality on my side with the latest theme version available on themeforest, V 6.6.4, and works fine: http://screencast.com/t/8b7DhIFIKC5LTry deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, make sure you deactivate the Jetpck and Photon module too, clear all caches and test again.

I’ve checked the link provided as example and noticed that this is a custom post type which most likely it’s generated by one of your installed plugins Our theme have implementation for custom post types and the sidebar should be displayed fine. This issue could be caused by the widgets tile. You need to use just standard letters on the titles. Any other symbol such as !, @, #, $, or – , _ or language specific characters, will cause the sidebar and the widget area to remove widgets and sidebars.
Also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and the one which generate the current post type, clear all caches and test again.

The theme does not change anything by itself. Please specify what you did before this happened. Did you maybe install a plugin that is conflicting with the theme, or made a few custom modifications to the code, or maybe you forgot to logout and somebody pulled a prank or maybe you got hacked… The possibilities are huge. Please check your fonts settings in the theme panel and see if fonts are set or are they rewritten by a plugin. This should be the first clue to what the problem is. IF all fonts in the panel are set to default, this means that the css from the theme gets rewritten and you need to identify where it comes from.(you can try to disable all plugins except visual composer and check again.)
I checked your website and except for a the font, everything seems to be fine.

Visual Composer plugin it’s tested with our theme and works fine. For custom ads you do not need to edit anything as you get the sortcode from visual composer. The ad box in visual composer allows you to add a title to it so the sortcode will look like so:

Hello it looks like my site’s infinite loading is not working… it only shows normal pagination.
i have disabled every plugin and clean my cache still i have the same problem.
earlier i was using diff theme which infinite loading was working but as i switched to this theme. it has been stopped.

i have just checked with the siderbar.

Unfortunately, there is not a simple task to change the width of the image of this Visual Composer element. This is set it with the width of the theme, namely-1068 px. Our theme has not been designed to use another width and I do not recommend to change this because the layout of the site will be broken.

This problem might be caused by conflicting plugins. Try to disable all of them, except Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. Also, please try to use in your sidebar title only the numbers and letters without any unknown symbols because in some cases these can cause this issue. If your problem is still there, please provide your URL website so I can further inspect the issue.

Please create new topics for issues as this one being a sticky one, it will be difficult to follow. (We would have to constantly check it for new posts).
@sennasempre Unfortunately we cannot know the future so we cannot say what will be changed in version 4.4.2 and if there will be any issues with our theme (WP officially stated they will fix the issues created by 4.4.1 but just as easily others could be created at the same time). What we do know is that if there will be any issues, they will be fixed as soon as possible.
@BhawaniGarg Your problem is different than the one created by WP. Yours sounds like a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache. If the problem persists please create a new topic and provide as many details as possible. Provide a link to your website as well so we can inspect it.

Please use the following method to see your custom ad. Create a page and ad an ad box element to it using visual composer. Then set the ad to custom ad 1. Now your ad should be displayed on the page. If it does not, it means you either have no ad placed in custom ad 1 in the theme panel or the ad code is not ok. If the ad displays ok on the page, then you can access classic mode and text mode to get the shortcode:
