Hello madox56,
Please try to make a new clean install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and required plugins via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Also, if your problem is still there after this steps, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link of this topic so we can easily identify you.
Thanks for the message!
hey, I read also previous topics here about this problem but they didnt help and i installed new resizing plugins but they didnt help. on the startpage of my website and on other pages i uses boxes, grids, and a lot of thumbnails are in there. They are wayyy too small, looking very blurry on my PC and mobile device. Also the post image in the post (which is also the thumbnail) is looking too blurry. the image in bigger size (in the post), and in smaller size (as thumbnail) look like very bad quality, but i uploaded it in a good pixel size with over 1000px … what can I do? I can’t continue working like that… Please help. greets. (I also tried deactivating small thumb sizes in the theme panel > block settings, but it didnt help. pictures were just missing, and “Regenerate Thumbnails” or other plugins didnt help…
Hello,

Hello,
I made the template installation correctly, built the site to my measure, and the next day, when I enter the site, he disappeared. Also disappeared the issue management tool in the sidebar WordPress administration.
When I change to another theme, the site appears again. Why? Any problema with Newspapper template?
Thanks
Hello Graffa,
Actually, as Bryson said, the issue is with ” td_options.php” which is probably a new file introduced in Newspaper 7.5 under ( includes/wp_booster/td_options.php), but it’s not present in ( patch of 7.4 to 7.5).
td_options.php was also not there in 7.4 or older version but it’s been called by td_wp_booster_functions.php on line 15 in 7.5 , hence probably causing this error.
Hence, in a separate attempt.
When I uploaded all files under “wp_booster” directory from new theme 7.5 ( Because I haven’t modified any files under wp_booster so it was easy for me) and then added other files from patch 7.4 to 7.5, it worked without any error 500.
But now , I got a new error ie. Blank homepage ( Read a new thread here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/urgent-help-homepage-blank-after-recent-update-to-7-5/)
In short, Unfortunately, TagDiv needs to re-work on patch this time and as “Chris” suggested in a reply, it’s a good idea to do complete theme installation ( Yup, it’s time-consuming but probably this is the only method left with us 🙁 )

Updated Newspaper 7.4 to 7.5 using the FTP method. Received same HTTP ERROR 500… Reinstalled Backup of the theme. Never had something like this before. Any news on this problem? Thx!
Hello eivindert,
It seems to be a issue with the actual version of WordPress which do not allow you to delete the theme. You should update your theme using the FTP method, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
For more references in this regard, please check here -> https://wordpress.org/support/topic/deletion-failed-the-requested-theme-does-not-exist-2/
Thanks for the message!
Hello pokeweb,
I have checked on my site, using the latest version of Newspaper (7.4) and all of the subcategories are displayed, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/GGqfj9BbM0S I guess that your problem being from your side. Disable all of your untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
hello,
We do not recommend using max cdn as it is not tested to work with our theme. We recommend cloudflare and these settings:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
As for caching: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hello Syams,
If you want to make these changes, please notice that you should use a bit of CSS code to do that. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Cusotm CSS area and you can adjust the values by your desire.
The code is ->
.td-scandal .td-scandal-big-grid .td-grid-style-2 .td-big-grid-meta {
background-color: transparent!important;
}
.td-scandal .td-scandal-big-grid .td-grid-style-2 .td-big-grid-meta a{
color:white;
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/TitDNfhBKD
Please notice that you should have installed the Scandal Magazine demo if you want that the above code to work as properly.

Hello Wildwood,
I guess that you want to achieve the similar layout with our Car News demo, right? Please notice that this demo is fully available in Theme panel and if you want you can install it, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-installing-demos/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/ Notice that this is the surest way in this regard….each of demo has own CSS which can be found here -> http://screencast.com/t/61PADe0Gcj9t Also, using your Inspector browser you should inspect our demo and identify what elements are used in that demo. You can check our tutorial in this regard, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Hello veet1975,
I have inspected your website and I saw that your featured image does not display. I have checked your console and I also saw that you have some warnings, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/LBIhdvwpMC I suspected all of them being from your untested plugins which you have used. Please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hey Bryson T,
Thanks for the suggestions.
I am also thinking to do a full re-install now because patch doesn’t appear to be good this time.
Thank you.
Hello ashley112,
Please make sure that this type of issue does not come from your untested plugins. Try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. The theme is fully compatible with our tested plugins and we have not encountered any issue in this regard. If the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch only with the required plugins and check the results. You should use the FTP method for installing your theme because this is the surest way in this regard. For more information about this, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hello punza,
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newsmag 3.2) and also, the latest version of required plugins which come bundled with the theme packet (Visual Composer 4.12.1, Social Counter 4.1). I’m running into the following error after applying the 7.4/7.5 patch in dev and production.
`Access to undeclared static property: td_global::$td_options in /…/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/functions.php(22): require_once()\n#1
/…/td_wp_booster_functions.php on line 15`
That particular line goes to includes/wp_booster/td_options.php where it declares the static variable as NULL, $td_options (the options array being set up). Then checked again and both the original 7.4 source and my installation were missing the td_options.php file entirely, instead calling up td_global.php where 7.5 calls up td_options.php.
Working on it now with a full reinstall, including that file.
Would it be possible for you to describe/share what services you use(d) to update the Car News Template’s content?
We would like to have this be a ‘live’ working demonstration where the content is fresh. It appears that you have some good category filters and sources for this demo. We would like to do the same to show the most current content, – not just as of our ‘install’ date.
Thank you so much! It would be a great help to understand/convey that to others.
Since I installed the theme I’ve had problems uploading images. .jpg, .png, anything. We’re talking 200kb size images. I get a constant “HTTP ERROR”.
My host is Hostgator. They spent over an hour, escalated it to their higher level techs, and finally came back to me with “it’s the theme”.
I’ve already deactivated all plugins, still the problem occurs. It DOES NOT occur on my other sites with different themes on the same hosting account, only Newspaper. I do NOT have jetpack plugin either.
I’m not sure what to do or how to fix it, can you please advise?
I do not know how to code or anything, that’s out of my league (which is why I use this theme and WP in the first place).
Also, are there other ways to upload images than through WP? I’ve tried putting them on the host through Filezilla, but they don’t show up in Media when I want to add them to a post.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I ticked all the same boxes on install but when it comes to entering my MAXCDN details and activating it my style is gone.
http://prntscr.com/d1sucy <== what should I put there.
On MAXCDN i have a pull zone and a CNAME …
Same error with me as well. Got the notification “directory already exist, install unsuccessful”

Hi,
You use the theme locally so practically it is on your PC/MAC, so just check the folder where you have installed wordpress and in the following path wp-content/themes you will find the Newspaper theme so you can remove it(backup first) and then copy paste the new theme version – http://screencast.com/t/n2cmP6PRLqH – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Files#wp-content.2Fthemes
Thanks!
I have a turtle but not a camel picture in the folder that was installed with the theme.
Hi Everyone,
I am having issues with uploading my Newspaper 7 theme to WP. I made the purchase today and when I go through the process of uploading the zip folder I get the error –
Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.
I am using MAMP locally so don’t have the option to upload via FTP. I have also followed the video tutorial so I am uploading the correct zip folder.
Any suggestions? Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks
Hi,
If you have some issues after you have updated the theme please create your own topics. This topic was solved by @Edward with his answer.
@Achimzwo The latest theme version is tested and it should work properly, just please follow the update guide and do this properly – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also update the theme’s plugins – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ All the theme’s plugins can be found in the theme package that you download from themeforest – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
Don’t forget to make a full backup of your current install before updating the theme, please check the official documentation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
If you have any issues please open a new topic and provide more details.
Thanks!
