Trying to set up bbPress and open a small forum on my site.
Have encountered a weird (small) issue with the headline on the forum page.
I have installed bbPress, created a new page named Forum and inserted [bb-forum-index] on it.
Everything works fine, except for that the headline that says Forum points to the bottom-most url instead on sitename.se/forum. Se the picure below for reference.
How is this possible? If i don´t create the Forum-page at all and just type in sitename.se/forum the url is correnctly linked to sitename.se/forum. But as soon as i create a forum-page and add the bb-forum-index code, this happens.
I need to be able to use the editor to add more stuff to the page (other text-fields etc.) so just leaving out a forum-page is not going to work.
Disabled visual composer.
Social icons came back.
Many more odd code snippets now appear as text on my page…
considering wiping it all and reinstalling Newspaper and never turning on visual composer
Before I installed newsmag, I knew how to find the footer/header/etc code to edit but now I seem to can not find it… where can I go in the wp admin to find the footer code? It used to be under appearance..
Also note that web browser may change the size/view depending on the default or over-ride font settings, so the “exact” pixel view is impossible in the edit vs live view — it’s only an “approximation” — it’s not a “graphic” — text is fluid and will NEVER match 100% in the edit and live view.
If you don’t like the “custom view” — it’s best to simply disable that entirely, where you’d have the full width view for editing which ALSO does not match the live view 100%.
Text is fluid and depends on the version of font loaded on various devices — e.g., Georgia font looks slightly different on Mac and Windows, letterspacing and kerning may vary, and pixel dpi (e..g, 72dpi, 96ppi, etc.) may impact how lines “break” on different devices and web browsers.
Views can also vary depending on the version of a font installed on your particular machine (e.g., Open Sans will look different if you have a version on your PC, while somebody on the web does not and loads the Google version off the cloud). Some people also “over ride” text in browser to only load one font face, like Arial.
Upshot — obsessing over what the editor looks like “exactly” is a fool’s errand, and one should spend time on great content, not on whether text fits on two lines or three, because nobody else will see it “exactly” the way you do.
Just an opinion. I see this topic often on various forums and some folks get bent out of shape about the view matching the live page, and that is technically and actually impossible.

but I cannot do a db backup because my db is more than 1GB….and phpMyAdmin times out …. I can not download all database dump
I will have problems if I upgrade to 6.7?
To be sure I can do backup of all database tables outside of the posts table?
please recommended a way to make the theme update without risk anything

It looks good since I try to change anything.
Firstly I uploaded theme, then installed demo with content.
Whenever I try to change anything, for example a footer info and save those changes it doesn’t appear on website.
Its changed in theme panel, but its not on website.

Please ensure that you have followed all the steps in order to update your theme according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ On my side is installed the latest version of the theme and Visual Composer and everything seems to works properly. Please make sure that this problem does not come from your untested plugins which can create some interferences in the theme and could cause this type of issue. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
If your problem is still there after this advice, please provide your log-in information (wp-admin) so I can further inspect your setup page. Also, please provide the link to this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.

I suspect this issue come from interference between some untested plugins which you are using and our theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, please ensure that you have installed the latest version of the theme and the plugins for better results.
If you are trying to do some additional customizations in theme/ plugins and you are not aware to the steps in this regard and if it happens due from these actions, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!

Please only use the visual composer version that comes with the theme. Please disable the plugin and delete it from the plugins section and then install it again from here: http://screencast.com/t/PtNqOuhl
If the error is still there, then access your files via ftp and delete visual composer (js composer) from your plugins folder and then try to install again.

You can try it on a testing site. Simply create a localhost or a sub-domain with our theme installed and you can test away. or you can make a back-up of your current install and test directly on your live site. There should be no problems if you simply activate a plugin that does not work. Deactivating it should restore the site if it breaks but just to be on the safe side, create a back-up beforehand.

I don’t understand about installing wordpress because before I hire a programmer to install my theme.
And after I see in my ftp, it had 2 newspaper folder : Newspaper and Newspaper-tf.

But it still has this notification:

I bought and installed Newspaper 6.7 today and when I try to install the required Visual Composer plug-in it comes up with the following error message repeatedly:

unfortunately, it does not solve all the problems I faced, but at this point the OTHER plugin manufacturers can no longer use the excuse of wrong Visual Composer release.

Regarding to Visual Composer 4.11, I downloaded and installed version 6.7 already, but the visual composer is still 4.9 version.
I’m very sure that I have newspaper theme 6.7 because it said so in “welcome to newspaper” tab.

In order to achieve best results, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After you have done this, please consult the guide below and then check your social counter and see how it works.
1) Please make sure you have the latest theme version: 6.7. If not, you need to follow this guide to update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
2) Having the latest version of the theme is not enough if you do not update the social counter as well. You need to remove the current version you use: http://screencast.com/t/4jvRwNzK and then install the version of the plugin that comes with the 6.7 theme: http://screencast.com/t/9AKKURjTjX
You can recognize if you have the correct version of the plugin when you see the new app key settings: http://screencast.com/t/CIXxklBanNl If you do not have these settings in your social counter it means you do not have the correct version.
3)You need to follow this guide to get the requirements from facebook:

Please keep in mind that the social counter is not a live count. It will update once every few hours.
