We are sorry for the inconvenience but facebook changed a few things that made the social counter not work anymore. This was fixed in the current version of the theme which went live yesterday. Please update your theme to the latest version (6.6) and also update the social counter plugin by deleting your current one and installing the one that comes with the theme: http://screencast.com/t/Zo16smkGYD2

We encountered this error before but unfortunately it can be a number of things. We have not yet found an exact cause of this error, but generally it is related to server and wordpress configuration.
Please verify that you have upload permissions on your server and also if you have restrictions for external sources.
Please contact your hosting provider and check these configurations.
It could also have been a temporary issue due to high traffic.
Try to install the demo again after checking with your host and if the problem is still there and all permissions and restrictions are ok, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login information so we can take a look for ourselves. Please also include a link to this topic.

The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newsmag theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again.
To improve your server response time you can try to reduce the number of queries (fewer plugins, fewer blocks on page, reduce the elements which use ajax requests/pagination like mega menus/load more/infinite load), also consider using a cache plugin, we recommend the WP super cache plugin with the following configuration: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. I have being using your theme for a few months now and I’m very happy – I’ll never turn to other themes ever again.
However, I’m wondering how many times can I install the theme and let it run for my other websites? I currently planning to launch a couple of new sites and planning to use the theme – somehow I don’t know if I can install and activate the theme, since I already activate on my main site.

I updated Newspaper 6 and have run into many problems. After the update, I could not access the theme panel. When I tried, I got this error message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/awakene0/public_html/jaywalkingtheglobe.com/dir/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/external/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 1131
I tried many things to rectify the problem, usually I’m able to solve computer problems, but the situation got worse. Now I can’t even deactivate a plug in or access appearance – themes to reinstall the theme from scratch. In fact, I can’t access anything. I get the message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_action() in /home/awakene0/public_html/jaywalkingtheglobe.com/dir/wp-includes/functions.php on line 18
How do I solve this problem?

First try deactivating and activating visual composer. If it do not help then do this:
Install plugin wp-optimize. But first make backup of your website. Then run wp optimize and while optimizing wp with it make sure u clear ‘transient’ options too. That proces should clear all cached db queries and optimize your database. http://prntscr.com/96lcvt
Seems like composer is not activated. Like he is not there at all.
Try disabling all plugins, and make sure you have no modifications in functions.php.
Something is wrong with you site. The theme works fine on clean installation of wp.
The only thing that breaks the theme is td-api plugin bringing WSOD.
You should deactivate all plugins except v. composer.

I have checked your website and saw that i could upload some images but others not. Please check if you have GD Library installed, wordpress requires it for cropping. You can see it in your Cpanel. If not, contact your hosting provider.

I installed V3.0.3 (previously I tested only V3.0.1), but I had to make rollback again.
I still can’t edit snippet preview. When I click on title in snippet preview – the title disaperes – the same is with snippet preview of meta description. It just disaperes!
Which plugin’s configurations do you need? There is a lot options and I need to know which do you need.
Anyway I will wait for next update of plugin, because this is makes me crazy!

I have been having 503 error issues, and I have equally been battling with my host. They claim its from the developer. At first, I didn’t admit but after looking at my webmaster tool, its clear the server error started after installing NewsMag in Nov. 4th
Here is a shot,
From the error log made available from the host, I couldn’t make any sense out of it, but I can detect a some codes relating to the theme.

In php5.4, when uploading image (example: JPG file) to media library, it says “HTTP error.”.
In php5.3, all fine.
In default theme (not newspaper), all fine.
All fresh install. All the latest version. The problem occurs when in newspaper theme in php5.4 . Please help.

I only use NewsPaper on 2 site: one for development, one for production. I think it occurs bescause i re-install your theme and activated it too many time on my development site.
