You should deactivate and delete the td composer (and td multipurpose if you use it) and install the one that comes with theme version 8.7 in Newspaper>plugins. (I don’t work here).
Hi, I have the same issue. I have just purchased Newspaper Theme and installed it via FTP.
Everything worked smoothly, but after I installed td-composer the backend gone blank and the only solution is to disable td-composer via FTP. I’ve tried to do the same as NightwolfBlood, with no success. I don’t have a previous version to revert to. What can I do?
I am facing the same problem. I have deactivated and deleted tagdiv plugins, reinstalled and reactivated them, but it does not work. As soon as I save the settings to show a static page as homepage, the settings are reverted almost istantly. Please help
Hi, google has tagged my pages with “The text (CDATA) inside tag ‘style amp-custom’ contains ‘CSS !important’, which is disallowed.”
All I have done is install the plugin. How would I go about fixing this?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tabesuki
See these guides 1. https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ 2. https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ 3. https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Option 3 is the best and more recommended option for updating the theme to ensure everything works smoothly with no errors. It is recommended to back up your site so that if anything goes wrong, you can roll back to the previous theme. As for your question, see this http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-update-a-wordpress-theme-without-losing-customization/ (I don’t work here).
I turned on the Instagram on the home page in the theme panel settings and have all the settings inputted correctly my footer disappears and all I see is follow us on Instagram and my account info. no pics nothing. So i turned off all plugins and still doing the same thing. Any suggestions ? I even re-installed the theme, still getting the same behavior. Also when I try to add Instagram via tagDiv Page composer, everything on that page disappears as well.
Since I can’t get the theme to update I just tried reinstalling the entire theme as a new theme. I deleted Newspaper theme from wordpress. Then I re-downloaded all the files from your website. I followed all of the directions on your website and re-installed the theme from scratch through FTP as if I were installing it for the first time.
However again it crashed the entire website. This happens whether I try to update or if I delete everything and re-install as brand new. This is the message that is displayed on my website

Can you please help I am extremely frustrated with the upgrade to version 8.7 . I have never had these problems with past upgrades. Please let me know what to do. Please Help!
There appears to be a conflict with TD Composer and the popular Shortcoder Plugin where when you add a Title+Text block to a page and try to edit the text, the editor in the pop-up window won’t render. Deactivating the plug-in solves this.
This is on a clean/fresh install of Newspaper 8.6 using TD Composer 1.0. Haven’t yet tried 8.7 and the new TD Composer, but will once the bugs are ironed out.
Wanted to let the tagDiv team know to fix in an upcoming release
Hi, i’ve installed the demo city news. however there are some ads spot that i wish to remove on the post template. There are 13 style and i would like to know is there anyway i can remove/disable the ads or do i need to edit the post template style? Is so, how do i do it?
DO NOT INSTALL AMP for WP as an after thought to see if you can add an image to the Header. It completely blew out the installation. WTF!
My first go at upgrading to 8.7 was a disaster. I punted and went back to 8.6.
I then rebuilt the website up from scratch exactly the way I want without starting with a demo. I used Visual Composer as Tag Composer constantly locked my screen or would not perform. I started with a blank sheet, added rows, columns and widgets and set the loops for articles up and I was successful in creating a robust site with Slider Revolution at the top, pressed right up to the MAIN MENU, having to trick it by entering -48px for the Margin, Newsletters call to actions, Social Media interfaces and a whole lot more.
I then used DUPLICATOR, as I had done in the past, and everything was migrated without a hitch. Previously when I used DUPLICATOR and built the site up using one of the Demos, the replicated site never carried over from the original site. Building a site up from scratch apparently set everything I needed in such a way that DUPLICATING it became a snap.I did not have to do an EXPORT and then IMPORT of Theme settings.
THEN . . . having replicated the site over to another, I gave the 8.6 to 8.7.1 upgrade another try.
To upgrade Visual Composer and Tag Composer, you must first Deactivate and delete them. If you follow the sequence provided in the documentation, it states to delete the Newspaper theme first, then FTP 8.7.1 over under the Themes Folder AND THEN upgrade your plugins.
If you follow that sequence, the Admin Dashboard is completely shutdown and goes blank white. You lose all access to being able to visually do anything. I blew out the site again, and reinstalled again with DUPLICATOR.
The sequence I followed that worked was:
I deleted Visual Composer first and updated it.
I deleted Social and updated it.
I then deleted Tag Composer, updated it, then got a boat load of ever messages of incompatibility with 8.6 and the Social Counter.
I then blew out the old Newspaper theme and replaced it with 8.7.1.
Then and only then did everything work flawlessly.
I installed the AMP plugin expecting a robust configuration tool. The only thing I was able to do was set some colors. Have I completely missed something? I was using AMP for WP and it allowed me to set an image in the header. the only reason I migrated to 8.7.1 was that I thought I would get some robust AMP configuration capability. AMP for WordPress was selling a NEWSPAPER compatible Theme for AMP but I thought with TagDiv I would get a more bug free, robust integration.
Documentation really is very thin. The tutorial on AMP was thin and I struggled to find out if I just needed to drop the Analytics code in or drop in actual code as described in the pop up help on the Theme Panel. I finally just dropped the Analytics code, brought up Google Analytics Dashboard and tested and it worked.
I could not find any specific documentation on the Multi Purpose Plugin. I installed it, played around with settings, and notice no difference on the site, so I deleted it.
The Newsletter Plugin – I have not been able to find any documentation on this at all. I have previously installed Holler Box and it meets my needs, so I deleted this plugin as well.
SO . . . . I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT I GAINED BY UPGRADING TO 8.7.1.
As I read I am finding TagDiv is stating there are bugs with AMP and there will be an emergency patch. I have no idea what those bugs are. I am getting results on the Google Dashboard.
My issue is the AMP Post has no customization. What am I missing? Do I create a template? Do I need to Reinstall AMP fo WP so I can have a logo in the Header? I thought the whole point of Upgrading to 8.7.1 was so that AMP was fully supported.
Dear
i have bought recently your plugin.
i have a problem: edit content from tagdiv doesn’t work (page is still refreshing). i try to reinstall but doesn’t work.
thanks
I just downloaded and installed the newmag theme and in the newsmag theme panel non of the ads sections will open. they just sit there and load forever. I refreshed tried multiple times.when i click the drop down arrow it just has a little spinning loading graphic that just keeps spinning. It just won’t open so i can input an ad code. I have the newspaper theme too and that one works just fine.
Since you are advising to download the full package for the upgrade (which
I assume you mean the drop down that says “all files and documentation”)
Then what is the purpose of the other option in the drop-down that says “Installable WordPress file only” (In my notes from previous upgrades had written down and it worked in the past upgrades to use “Installable WordPress file only”.)
So going forward should I only be using the download choice that says “all files and documentation” and use this uploaded to FTP for the upgrade?
Just installed v 8.7.1 and tried to add Favicon. Uploaded image, then clicked on “Save Settings” and circling-squares thing started spinning; never stopped. Refreshed page, then tried making a Header Style selection. Same thing: Spinning box. I’ve tried searching the forums here for answers, but frankly don’t even know how to begin to describe the problem.
That said, it seems like a pretty big problem to experience this early in an install, with such a simple starting change.
Advice?
well, I was thinking to reinstall everything and start all over but I should wait than!
If I create pages and new update come maybe there will be issues again. I really dont know what to do at this point

It seems that the log is not long enough to show full message, or the option it want to save is too long?
This usually happens and sometimes it updates successfully…
Hi her guys again.
i have installed your theme a couple of days ago and suddenly my Google Search console shows a pick of 404 errors in mobile and desktop areas because it seems that a lot of url from a demo content was in the sitemap. A few examples:
https://howpple.com/lifestyle/travel/?filter_by=featured
https://howpple.com/homepage-fashion/page/4/
https://howpple.com/homepage-newspaper/page/4/
As you can see it looks like I got multiple (143 new ones) 404 error because if this.
Is there anything I can do to solve it?
Hi,
1. You can download the theme once and use it for both installs, there will be no problem. The same package is provided.
2. You should download the full package, this will contain all the plugins (both required and optional) child theme etc
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
The latest theme version is 8.7.1.
The most recommended method of updating is by FTP upload
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
After updating check if the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugins have been updated automatically. The composer should be version 2.1 and the multi-purpose plugin 2.0

Let us know if you have problems. In the following week there will be a theme update released which will fix some issues that are currently happening for some users.
Thanks
Hi,
@CulturaEnSerie I see no problem with the Facebook share on your website
– https://www.screencast.com/t/a8cStdo6J
The Yoast SEO plugin will always add the necessary OG data to the head
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PvLCgheTI
@Olya As long as the Yoast plugin is installed and configured there should be no problem

If you are experiencing 403 errors on the website, you could contact the hosting provider. There could be an issue with the server.
Thanks
Hello all,
Please check your Cpanel and ensure that option is disabled because it seems to cause this error. Check here -> https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/cpanel/lets-encrypt/#How_to_issue_and_install_a_new_Lets_Encrypt_certificate_yourself After this, if the error is still there after you have turned off this option, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and full FTP access so we can take a closer look at your server and setup page so we can provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
There are some issues with the latest theme version. These issues are not general, they only happen in some specific cases. We are trying to identify these circumstances and make changes in the theme. A theme update will soon follow, hopefully at the beginning or as late as the middle of the next week.
If you updated the theme and theme plugins and there are issues, please consider reverting to theme version 8.6.
If you are using 8.6 please use that until we release the new update. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused for you.
In some cases there were 500 errors caused by a setting in cpanel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bTBuIp7590RX
– https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/cpanel/lets-encrypt/#How_to_issue_and_install_a_new_Lets_Encrypt_certificate_yourself
We are working to see why that setting is causing the 500 errors. Sorry again for this inconvenience.
Thank you for understanding.
Hello Olya,
Please notice that our theme does not have any such a problem after theme update, sorry! Most likely, this issue happens only on your part because before to launch the new update, the theme was fully tested and was not encounter this type of issue, sorry! Update again the theme via FTP way, clear all the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. For more information about this case, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/ Also, make sure that the Seo Yoast is installed on your website.
Thanks for your understanding!
After the upgrade to 8.7 I am getting an error message on the site. So I want to fully delete and reinstall newspaper.
I have 2 questions:
1) I bought the Newspaper theme twice as a result when I login to the downloads screen I see two different Newspaper 8.7’s that I can download. How do I know which one is for which website. (I see no difference in the title of them) Maybe I downloaded the wrong one and this is what caused the error after the upgrade?
2) What are the steps to doa full upgrade? Do I download the from the drop down the choice that says all files and documentation? or do I download the option that says Install WordPress file only?
