Hi, I deactivated the tagdiv composer as, in the current state, I fail to see its use if it cannot fully replace Visual Composer.
The error message disappeared.
Will its deactivation cause any issues?
Hi, i am using your theme for our website.
However, when i make page, i do not see tagDiv composer button..
it only got classic mode button.
Also, i tried to search tagDiv plugin from wordpress dashboard plugin page, couldnt find it.
Can you let me know how to use tagDiv?
I think we have Newspaper 7, it says theme version 7.8
if there is an updates, how can we do it? i’ve updated everything on my dashboard.
Thanks.
So let me answer my own question in case someone else has this problem in the future.
The mysterious appearance of unwanted shortcodes in my new posts was because I had Visual Composer set to run in both pages and posts. By default, Visual Composer is supposed to work only on pages, which makes sense. that’s the place where you’re most likely to build complex layouts.
Anyway, I set Visual Composer back to its default and the posts are coming up like you would expect a well-behaved new post to do.
I want use tagdiv composer text with title widget but Wp-Editor not working. Help me please Image
Under Newspaper > Theme Panel > Post Settings, then Default post templates (site wide):
I have selected default for the default site post template.
All other options in this page except the two boxes in Featured Images are turned off (for the purpose of testing).
I go to Posts and click Add New, then verify that the Post Template selected is “From Panel.”
In scrolling down, I notice that there’s a lot of stuff in my Visual Composer.
I go back up and select the Classic Editor and notice a bunch of short code on the page.
Without adding anything at all to the post, I click on Preview. What I see appears to be three columns of post previews. On the third column, a sidebar is covering the column with other content.
Clearly, I have something fouled up in the setup (and it was going so well).
No matter which template I select in the Post Settings panel, I still get three columns of post previews with the third column covered by a sidebar containing ads.
Here is the short code in case that helps:
[vc_row full_width="stretch_row" parallax="content-moving-fade" parallax_image="iii_td_pic_homepage_iii" el_class="td-travel-header"][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class="td-travel-features"][vc_column][td_block_5 custom_title="" sort="featured" limit="3"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1" spot_title="- Advertisement -"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_4 custom_title="Trip ideas" category_id="" limit="3" td_ajax_filter_type="td_category_ids_filter" td_ajax_filter_ids="" td_ajax_preloading="preload" sort="random_posts"][vc_separator style="dashed" border_width="4"][vc_empty_space height="2px"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_4 custom_title="Travel guides" category_id="" limit="3" td_ajax_filter_type="td_category_ids_filter" td_ajax_filter_ids="" td_ajax_preloading="preload" sort="random_posts"][vc_separator style="dashed" border_width="4"][vc_empty_space height="2px"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][td_block_5 custom_title="Latest from blog" limit="3" ajax_pagination="load_more"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
To make a normal post, I can delete the short code and start with a blank page. then and only then do I get a post that’s what I expect to see. I also notice that I can make other changes using the backend editor if I want to add to the content in some pretty significant ways.
Any thoughts would be appreciated as to why I can’t seem to control the default single view post template like the documentation says I should be able to do??
thanks,
Hello Jfthai2015,
Please ensure that you have right created your pages and also, make sure that you are using in the right way our TD Composer. For more information about this builder, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Also, if the problem is still there, you should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Thanks for the reply.
I haven’t been using the tagdiv composer so I wasn’t using both at the same time.
I did a test page using the single image using tagdiv composer where the heigh settings work but the image isn’t responsive to different screen sizes, it just gets cut. Any settings I’m missing?
Going back to text block – I believe in tagdiv composer, its not column text.. When I tried adding an image and it did not go full width. The text did.
Sample here: https://rmn.ph/test-ad/
Hi,
There seems to be some level of interference between Visual composer and tagDiv composer, in some cases. Try deactivating the tagDiv composer if you are using Visual composer for your website. Then check if the problems you are having are solved.
Thanks
Hi,
You simply have to install the demo you would like
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/demos_introduction/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
If you choose to install the demo with content, this will import dummy posts, categories, menus etc. This happens so you can get an idea about how the website will look. You will have to replace (not edit) the dummy content with you own.
You can choose to install the demo without content as well. Then it will only import theme panel settings and the demo’s custom style. You can set your own menus, and create the homepage like the demo and the style will apply to those elements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
Hello,
Please do not use both page builders at the same time. Choose one or the other. We recommend switching to the tagdiv composer as we will develop our theme in the future based on our own page builder, not visual composer. You will still be able to use visual composer in the future but it will remain with the options available for it now. We will not add any new elements to visual composer. We will add lots of new and cool stuff to the tagdiv composer though.
As for the loading screen on the page builder, please increase your memory allocation by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hi,
I have inspected the website, but I do not know where the problem is. There were no changes to the theme’s responsiveness in the latest theme update, everything should be the same as it was before. You can try to deactivate the tagDiv composer that is activated when you update the theme, in the plugins section. Maybe it is affecting the elements on the page is some way.
Thanks
Hello,
This issue happens when using visual composer on posts. If you want to move to the new page builder, you will have to remove visual composer elements and shortcodes from your posts. Otherwise the content layout will break such as you mentioned above. The issue is solved by disabling the tagdiv composer but you will not be able to use the tagdiv composer with visual composer shortcodes on your posts. Sorry. Visual composer was never meant to be used on posts: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thanks.
We are using the Visual Composer – Youtube Playlist on https://www.bbrief.co.za/
When we add the youtube id’s the name shown on the front end isnt the correct name – it seems to be pulling from somewhere but we arent able to find out where or how to change it.
Hi,
Codes entered in the theme panel custom code sections will work properly. What I meant was that some users are using Visual composer on posts and entering specific elements in the post pages. That may not be the best solution, if you plan on using the new tagDiv composer in the future. It was never recommended to use Visual composer on posts. The new front-end composer cannot be used on posts, only for pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/composer/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
One can still use Visual composer, but it should be taken into consideration that in future theme updates, more elements and options will be added exclusively for the tagDiv composer only.
Thanks
Yes thoose are posts not pages. Before the update there was no problem. As a suggestion, tagdiv should add or support like this features on td composer. All my posts that have tabs are gone. Now I have to edit all…
Hello,
after updating Newspaper to version 8, I see the following two errors in my console:
GET http://example.com/mode-less.js
http://example.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/css-live/assets/external/ace/ace.js,qver=__td_aurora_deploy_version__.pagespeed.jm.mgV2mVvenK.js:1
GET http://example.com /snippets/text.js
http://example.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/css-live/assets/external/ace/ace.js,qver=__td_aurora_deploy_version__.pagespeed.jm.mgV2mVvenK.js:1 GET http://example.com /snippets/text.js
I have no idea what that means. For me it looks like some conflict between the new td-composer plugin and Google Pagespeed enabled on our server.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hello,
We will still provide updates for the visual composer plugin. You can still use visual composer with the current version but with a few side-notes:
– Do not use both page builders at the same time. Choose one or the other.
– Visual composer will still receive updates and will still be provided in the theme package, but all the new features we will add in coming updates will be based exclusively on the tagdiv composer.
-We will no longer develop any new options for visual composer. Visual composer will remain as an optional alternative to the tagdiv composer.
Thank you!
Hello,
The new page builder is not “required”. You can still use visual composer but with a few side-notes:

Hello rea-secret,
I guess that you are using the Visual Composer for post pages, right? Notice that thing has not been tested and the VC will not be tested to be used for post pages but only for pages, sorry! Also, on the new theme version, the TD Composer will not recognize the tabs element and that’s why this will not work, sorry!
For better results, try using only the tested ways because otherwise, most likely you will encounter some errors through your website, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Try leaving only the plugin you mention and the tagDiv composer active, clear any caching installed, and test again. We have only identified that error with the Yoast Seo plugin and that particular setting.
Thanks
Hello,
Please do not use this option of the seo by yoast plugin: https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh
The option is known to cause problems with the tagdiv composer.
Thank you!
Hello exploreclt,
I guess you do not exactly understand how the mobile plug-in works. Notice that if your pages were made with Visual Composer or TD Composer, the mobile theme will not recognize the shortcodes from these builders and that’s why you will not bring any results in this regard, sorry! For more information about our Mobile Theme concept, please check the useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The mentioned page editors have their own predefined elements and widgets that you can use. There is one for almost any purpose. Other widgets may not work properly and cannot be placed using these composers.
If you could provide a link to your website, I will try to give you a code that will make Block 9 display as you want. Then you will not need another plugin for this.
Thanks
Hello Valadim,
Sorry, but you missed an important thing! Please notice that the pages which were created with Visual Composer cannot be edited with our page builder and vice versa. For more information about transition between these page builders, please check our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
