Hi neurotictools,
There are more plugins from that article that can be used with our theme. As I know I saw on users the Responsive Tabs and the Ultimate Blocks, but you can try each one you want and choose the one that it is working the best for you.
If the plugin is providing a shortcode, this can be set on pages using tagDiv Composer in a column text or text with title element -> https://imgur.com/QXIGNly
Thank you!
Hi,
What you can do is to use the settings from the theme panel (for this you’ll need to have the tagDiv Standard Pack enabled) -> https://i.imgur.com/xvBReFp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/roDEbZi.png if those are not working, then set the title element from tagDiv Composer over the widget sidebar (and remove the header that was set in that sidebar in appearance > widgets).
I hope this will help you!
Hi devvijekar1, using the method that Anamaria provided to you will not only hide (when an element is hidden this is still loading and it is consuming resources) but it will remove the element, all you need to do is to edit the single post template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/cFYz47v.png then select the featured image and using the right click you can remove it -> https://i.imgur.com/oiFwO4t.png, after that the featured image will no longer be display in the posts.
Thank you!
Hi,
This can be done by using tagDiv Composer and flex blocks, edit the homepage and select a block, then check the filter tab, there you can choose the category that you want to be filtered -> https://i.imgur.com/dz3JKOv.png the post limit can be set from general tab -> https://i.imgur.com/r30IFha.png
I hope this will help you!
My revert function not working at all while editing in tagdiv composer. I don’t know why. I can not give anymore info because I didn’t configure anything at all.
in my website i want to make a scrollable menu to da left, like a header menu, because now when the size of the header menu is bigger than the size of the mobile screen that him sits in, the header menu is dropped to the bottom like this:https://imgur.com/a/Vl213Ym And im not finding a way to do this with tagdiv composer and i wanna know if has one?
Hi Team,
Please could you guide me, why I am not able to do undo the changes while editing anything on the page with tagdiv composer.
Ctrl+Z or Ctrl-y does not work and I could see there is a button on left window to undo and redo but those are greyed out.
Please help, this is painful. As every time I need to close the tag div composer page then again start editing from scratch.
Hi Anamaria,
I have been struggling with the theme for the last 3 days, in The website tagdiv composer is not working. My live users are getting stuck because of this according to the forum discussion with you, everything is updated to the latest version in the theme.
I have shared required credentials & website information at contact@tagdiv.com, please help me with this ASAP.
Thanks
Hi — I’ve recently tried to upgrade my site from a much older version (9.6) to the latest version of Newspaper. The integrated tagDiv Composer plugin, which is responsible for my website’s design, appears to have changed a lot between theme versions. I don’t seem to be able to upgrade directly to 11.4. Is it possible to get files containing each major version of the theme from 9.6 to 11.4 to attempt a step-by-step update between versions to assure that the code of connected plugins and theme files does not change significantly? Thanks.
Hi,
We recently went live with newspaper theme and I have questions regarding some issues and errors
1- There’s an error with font “Almendra display” Please debug and provide information “JA – Category Opiniao” ‹ Jornal do Algarve — WordPress
2- Video Popup and autoplay is enabled at tagdivcomposer but it’s not working. Why?
3- We noticed that mobile pages are extremely slow. Could you take a look and give us some feedback? How can we improve loading time on that page? To improve performance what’s the recommended option for “Content Preloading”?
4- Is it possible to change and customize video play button? We’d like to Turn it square and determine position over image (Bottom left or right, Top lef right?
5- How can we set a block to display exclusive articles but not only the exclusive ones? In our news site, any category can have exclusive posts and for that reason, I need to determine if an article will display exclusive label when that post is being published and edited. At post level and not at block level. We don’t want to group exclusive content into a spcific block but rather serve the, cronologicaly, through different blocks. How can we achive that?
5- We need to avoid the repetition of Featured articles on other blocks (homepage). How can we achieve that?
We’ve set the first block on our homepage to display only featured articles but there’s a problem. Those articles are always classifed as featured plus another category, for obvious reasons. We can’t find, in tagdiv composer, an option to avoid the repetition of an article at different blocks and that is a problem. If I use filtering options to exclude feature category from other blocks (avoiding the repetition on that article) they won’t be shown anywhere in the homepage. Using offset posts to avoid the repetition of feature article won’t work either because featured article It’s not the last post published. The only viable solution is to have, like other themes do, an option to avoid the repetition os posts from the different blocks that compose the homepage.
6- In “Post Loop” block there’s no option to exclude posts by categories. How can we achieve that? Example: Exclude category: -3, -47107, -24,
Warm Regards,
Marta Reis
Hello!
1. This plugin is not tested with our theme, so we can not provide support for it, sorry.
2. You should edit an article with the TagDiv Composer, add the element called ” Single Post Comments ” and there you can find some settings too. Also, you can use the element called ” Single Post Comments Counter ” to display the number of the comments for the current post.
Thank you!
Hi Ckyd,
Using the Newspaper theme the Google Analytics need to be inserted here -> https://i.imgur.com/LfZlRu4.png
About that code, I think that it is a part from a function, and usually those need to be set in functions.php, for this we recommend to use the child theme .
In case that the code need to be set in the header.php then the file path is wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php
I hope this will help you!
Hi Ibalex,
The tagDiv Composer was not made to be used on posts, this can be used on pages and cloud templates only!
If you are using cloud templates for your website, then the tagDiv Composer options should be in the WordPress top bar (just made sure that you have an admin role).
About the editors and possibility to edit. In the latest updates it looks that our developers set the permissions incorrectly and assigned the author’s attributions to the editor and vice versa, so the editors will be able to create only pages not cloud templates.
Since you are editing a cloud template, the changes to it will be reflected in all posts / categories / … of which it is a part of that cloud template and is set to be used.
Thank you!
Hello,
As I said above, there is an issue with editing rights. Now for the editor role, editing with tagDiv composer will only be available on the page, not on cloud templates. So in order to have access to all the options, you need to have the role of administrator.
Thank you!
As for the featured images, there is no recommended size. The bigger the size of the image, the better the quality will be. But you will need to find a size that does not become a big burden for your website as bigger images will mean larger amounts of space occupied on the server and higher loading times. Usually about 800×600 or 1920x1080px will do. You can use the tagDiv Composer and set your thumb sizes as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/CJUsauI9KSd
Thank you!
Hi benjaone1, the mobile menu can be set with tagdiv Composer only if a cloud template it is used, then from tagDiv Composer you’ll need to set on mobile port view and set the mobile menu that you want to use -> https://i.imgur.com/F4mbshi.png
If is a standard header, then the menu that will be used is the one from the responsive version, and in case that the mobile theme plugin it is used, then the mobile menu can be set from the theme panel > mobile theme > header > mobile menu.
Thank you!
Hi,
Make sure you have the latest update of the theme(11.4.2) and plugins too, that all the requirements are done as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
So, please make sure you don’t have a plugin conflict.
Also, please check the console when you try to save the changes made with tagDiv Composer maybe is possible to be from the firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request, which usually displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Thank you!
Hello,
Our theme is a frontend theme for most of the elements and changes, you’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer to edit the pages and templates for posts/categories, etc => https://i.imgur.com/I3OUYxr.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/mMrEufY.jpg from the frontend, no backend -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LDdokrHPl
Also, if you don’t have the button to edit with tagDiv Composer, please check this article https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Please check this video about how can create a website from scratch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoGQ0d5kIBg
Thank you!
It’s so weird experience, Tagdiv composer not working, it’s just spinning for long hours
site url: https://shreyadixit.org/
Just as the title says. I can’t find Composer even though it’s activated in plugins. Could the problem be because I insist on using the Classic Editor? I have the latest upgrades of everything and minimal plugins.
Hi,
Please check – https://www.jantakareporter.com/?s=
Post images are overlapping and not resizing correctly. I was facing this issue with some of the modules on homepage as well while creating post blocks.
Website is on OLS server, with Tagdiv Standard Pack and Composer activated. I can’t activate Cloud templates because it makes my website slower.
Deactivating Standard Pack solves this issue but messes up with website layout
Hi Bettina 🙂
I understand that there can only be one link per image. I would have attached images in my previous request, however, they would look exactly like your own examples in your theme documentation that you already have. Therefore, I really need to explain the problem.
When I originally imported the demo content for the theme, it included your ads for your theme. I simply went into the tagDiv Composer editor and replaced your ad images with my own. I also added the affiliate links where they are supposed to be added according to your own theme documentation. The problem is that the affiliate links do not save. I have cleared the cache and cookies, etc., and still there is no saving of the affiliate links. So, when I click on the image ads, all that happens is that the page refreshes.
I am assuming that there is something else that needs to be done before the affiliate links will save and work correctly (maybe in the theme settings?) however I did not see anything in the theme documentation.
I am interested in this question. @Calin, the answer you have provided is instructive but I have one problem which is that I cannot see the tagDiv Composer as soon as I navigate away from the home page. The implication is that I cannot edit posts with tagDiv Composer. Secondly, Editors on my website are not presented with the tagDiv composer.
The solution you have provided seems not to be a one-off solution. By this I mean whether modifying the blockquotes affects any other future posts where it is used. Or one has to always modify the blockquotes for every new post? Thanks
In fact, I should mention that the tagDiv Composer is not always available I am not sure why. I read somewhere that tagDiv works with cloud templates. Not sure of the implication of this for my post that I created by myself. I cannot edit them using tagDiv because that editor is almost always not available even as Editor and Admin of the site. The tagDiv appears only available when editing the home page. It disappears when I navigate away from the homepage. See screenshot
of a single post template without tagDiv editing feature
