Hello, I have the same issue, wp super cache installed like in your documentation, all unsupported plugins deactiveded but when cache pluginis turn on – on mobile device I do not see mobile theme but rwd desktop version. I use worpress 4.6. Any advice? What is strange on chrome console on mobile look, I see correct version.

Hi, I have recently installed Newspaper theme in my wordpress blog and for the past three days the site exhausted its bandwidth limit. Per day it goes up to 35GB due to js and css files. I dont understand what is causing this heavy sudden usage but my traffic is less and normally uses 800 MB per day. So please help me as soon as possible.

Try to check the theme panel settings, from here -> http://screencast.com/t/0xoF87EmEvS So, if you do not have the latest version of theme, you should update it via FTP because this is the surest and safe method in this regard. Before each update, you should make a full backup to your data to be safe and then, you simply install the new theme on your site, via FTP, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/

I don’t want to use the mobile plugin, but I have installed it just to see if I can get rid of the “Click here – to use the wp menu builder.” at the bottom, but it does not go away even when I assign my new menus in the theme panel under mobile plugin settings.
I had to go through and restart the upgrade due to a get_user_locale error. The upgrade database notice finally showed the second time. Have you tried a reinstall? Were you presented the first time with the db upgrade notice?

I’m trying to fix the issue where the photo grids in Newspaper seem to be cropping from the center of my photos, often leading to crotch shots. I have installed plugins such as My Eyes Are Up Here and Post Thumbnail Editor to try to fix this problem with my featured images. The thumbnail crops look great in my media library, but they aren’t showing on my actual site in my grid/image blocks. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I’ve not posted for a while because i’ve runned many tests.
Anyway the problem is far from resolved on my site.
I installed, at Chris recommendation, php 5.6, The site runs a bit quicker, but still the cpu load is high. Is not as high as with php 5.4.16 when it sky rocketed to 100% almost instantly. Now it stays on 84-92 % and after 5-10 seconds with f5 key pressed it throws 500 internal server error like before.
Any thoughts, any ideas are very welcomed.

I installed the theme and then installed (settings only) the Black Version. For some reason the first post on my home page (with no other settings changed) featured image is 1×1 unlike the others. not sure if I did something wrong the first time I played around with the theme, so I freshly installed everything but it does the same thing.
Any idea what I’m missing?

I have recently started using newspaper 7 theme. In start, the website’s tagline was shown in browser’s tab but soon it ended showing up and it started showing the site name and main page. Why did this happen ?

You can in web browser tab it’ll show “Reveal-News” however it should (as it used to) show our tagline which I have added and is enabled too. Please tell me if i have done something wrong. I installed the demo version and edited according to needs.

1. I’ve completed all actions instructed, except for CDN files and jetpack image features, since I’m using none. Cache is cleared, some custom logo for the header removed and all other plugins deactivated and only Visual Composer remains active. PROBLEM PERSISTS. Please notice that the image in my WordPress Media section appears to be alright; it’s when displaying it in the front end that it gets blurry. Please help.
2. You’ve got this one all wrong. I’m not trying to make my site look as Wedding demo after installing the Politics demo; that would be dumb. I’m just asking for some code to display the thin grey bottom line under the top bar that you show as a feature in your Header Style 10 documentation (see here https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/). That’s all… You show the bottom border as a feature of the Header Style 10 in the documentation, so I want it there, it’s not that difficult.

First time here, love the theme. I hope this is the right place to ask this.
When I use a comma in the tagline it place’s \ before the comma. Disabled plugins and tried a few different things but nothing worked. Customer might want to use just font as logo so need advice on this.
Also, I fixed this myself but I notice a weird issue with the plugin ‘Ultimate Addons For Digital Composer’ your theme, and jetpack. I hate jetpack but customer wants to use the wp app for his phone. As soon as I installed it, it basically shut down the site. Everything was error.
Went through the motions of deactivating and reactivating plugins until I see it’s Jet Pack. The problem was with one of the engagement settings. Can’t remember which one but I shut them all off anyways.
Just thought I’d mention that in case anybody else ran into that problem. It’s actually a really cool addon for VC.
Help with the comma issue would be greatly appreciated.

I recently installed Newspaper 7 Theme (News Magazine demo) and started building on it – diasporaro.co.uk.
Every time I open my website I get an error – “View Temporary site”
and then when I try to access any page of the website I get another error – “Relative link”.
Please let me know how can I fix these 2 problems.

The smart sidebar is fully tested and compatible with the entire theme and if you will correctly setup, it should work as expected. So, I have noticed that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and create a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. If the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch only with the required plugins and check the results.

Before each migration theme, you should make a full backup to your database to save all your data. Then, you should install the theme to your domain via FTP, because this is the surest method in this regard, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ and then you should load your backup there and adjust it to this theme.

I have already tried but it does not work, however:
Deactivating and removing both Visual Composer that Newsmag I believe that you do not remove all.
I assume some traces remain: in fact, by reinstalling I find myself already saved the old theme settings.
How can I do to remove everything?

We have tested the theme with the beta version and we did not found any issues and also now we use wordpress 4.7 on our local install. Also we did not received any reports in this regard so the theme should work properly with wordpress 4.7.
However it is always recommended to make a full backup before any update – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Newspaper 7.5 contains version 4.12.1 of Visual Composer. In the next theme version will will provide the latest version of Visual Composer available on the market and you will be able to update it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Normally the Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can, however, use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed: http://screencast.com/t/NqzloVgyUJB.

Please keep in mind that our latest reliable version of the theme is Newsmag 3.2 which is fully tested and compatible with the latest version of WordPress. You should update the theme to this version if you want to bring best results to your website. Before theme updating, you should make a full backup of a database to be safe.
