I have read this same boilerplate response on every other reply. It does not apply to my situation.

I do not have SEO by Yoast or Super Cache installed. I only have your two plugins activated on the test site that is causing me problems.

You say you have inspected my site, but I did not give you the URLs.
I started with a blank page and only used TagDiv Composer.

There is an issue when you add custom HTML in the Composer. And even without the HTML in the layout it is extremely slow to save and most often does not save the changes.

I will go back to Visual Composer and wait for you to get your composer ready for live websites.

Hi,

That could be caused by custom code that you might have used in the theme panel, or modifications to the post template files. Plugins could also cause issues like this.
As a suggestion please check any custom code that you might be using, and that can influence that post template or the featured image specifically.
If there is nothing, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear any caching installed. Then check if the featured image is displaying properly with that post template.
After trying these suggestion the problem is still present, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, so we can take a look.
Also paste a link to this topic in your email.

Thanks

Hi Rick,

1)Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Please do not use this setting in Seo by Yoast:
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh Also, if you are using the WP Super Cache plugin, please ensure that has been right setup according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

2)Also, the third important rule is to do not edit a page which was created with Visual Composer with TD Composer.
Also, I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues like this.
For more information about how you should use our page builder in correct way on our theme, please check the following useful tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/

Clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

I do not know what the Live CSS editor does not work for your end, sorry! Notice that option is a simple Chrome Add-on and we cannot offer support for it. Try to remove and re-install it again and check the results.

Thanks.

Hello barronlau,

I have inspected your website and I saw that your sidebar is broken and overlaps the content. First of all, I will recommend you to disable all of the untested plugins, if you are using something like this, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if the problem will persist to be there, you should make a new clean install from scratch, via FTP wat with the latest theme version and check the results.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for your understanding!

Like a lot of people, I am having this error when trying to edit a page with TagDiv Composer.
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
I only have TagDiv Composer and TagDiv Social Counter plugins enabled on a test site.

I am also getting the same error on a site that I tried to go live.
Both are running 4.8.2

I have used Visual Composer on other sites but don’t even have it installed on these two sites.

It appears that the issue is with raw HTML inserted in the page. If I delete the code for the raw HTML in the page edit of WordPress, the page will load in composer. But it says that it was not created in composer and it will not save any changes.

Thanks,
Rick

Hi,

The issue is not fixed at the moment on your website. Try the multiple suggestions in the provided topic, those solutions worked in almost all similar cases. Clear any installed caching after making modifications to refresh the data, and check the results.

Thanks

Our news organization publishes some columns that get released regularly. Previously we have used a plug in “Organize Series” that essentially created a secondary “category” field if you will. This allowed us to organize by the column in addition to categories. But not everything we post belongs to a recurring column.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the best method is to achieve this? Should I try seeing how the plugin we used previously works if installed with Newspaper?

I don’t have much experience, but I don’t have the budget to hire a big company. lol

Ok, so theres no additional plugins installed, and I’m not using a child theme. I have both TAGdiv and VC activate and when I posted an article the body content is under the sidebar…again.

Now I was told once that I can’t use the two composers together, then I was told by another person that it should be fine. Can you please help?

Hi dear Customer support team!

Hope you are doing well.
I really got confused. Hope you help me.
I customized the style.css file myself and made my website fully RTL. and it is working perfectly.
But as your theme doesn’t support RTL itself, so there is no rtl.css file in the theme folder.

The problem is here :
I am going to make a multisite. the network is going to have two addresses.
1 : mydomain.com/en which is going to be completely your theme.
2: mydomain.com which is the main site and is going to be an RTL website.
if I use only one theme on my network so I have to have two files : style.css and rtl.css in the theme folder.
But as I just customized the style.css I made two folders in my themes folder, one for rtl and the other for ltr.
and the rtl one is active in mydomain.com and the ltr is active in mydomain.com/en
ltr is working perfectly, but the customized style.css that is working perfectly in standalone install and has made my site fully RTL, is NOT working in the network.

What is the solution?

Regards.

I’m working with the newsmag theme on a new WordPress installation for 2 weeks and I think it’s great. But recently I noticed that not all the elements you can see when you visit the website are shown in VC in the backend. Some blocks are just gone in the backend and I’ve checked if all elements should show in the VC settings and the settings are correct. Newsmag 4.0 on WordPress 4.8.1.

Hello,

Please make sure that your theme has been right installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Also, notice that is not recommended to use the both page builder simultaneously (Td Composer with Visual Composer). Please check the following documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
If the problem is still there after this, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello

I installed the NewsPaper theme using a Child Theme and then imported a demo. Now I try to modify the home page using TagDiv Composer and it does not work.

When I try to add any element with the visual editor it does not.

I have tried to disable all plugins, to create a new page and it always happens the same.

What I can do?

Thank you.

Hello techinternational,

Hi,

Please check the theme system status section
https://www.screencast.com/t/TFPsnKgO8
Make modifications to the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in this guide, if requried
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make these changes for you, as they might have a recommended method in this matter.
If there is still a problem, please deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear any installed cache. Then check in the theme panel while saving settings, if there are any errors in the browser console. Press F12 to bring up the inspector window and then open the console
https://www.screencast.com/t/ENQ5a8CB8
Check if there are any errors in this console. The admin ajax process could be blocked by the server, because of the multiple requests that it makes. In this case you can contact the hosting provider and explain this situation or provide a screenshot with the error.
They should be able to fix it if this is happening.
Please let us know the results.

Thanks

Hi,

Please update the theme using this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The FTP method is the most recommended way of updating. Note that custom code you might have used in the previous version, might not work properly in this one. Some elements have been subject to change. Update the theme and remove any custom code from theme panel temporarily, do not modify the theme files after the update.
If you use a child theme, switch to the main theme. Code in this might need adjustments for the new version. Use the child theme provided in the new theme package.
Also in version 8 the tagDiv composer was introduced, this plugin is activated automatically when the theme is updated or installed
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin as this might affect some Visual composer elements on pages.

Thanks

Simion C.

Hi,

Please try as a first step to deactivate all your plugins except theme plugins, and clear any installed cache. Then deactivate and delete the tagDiv composer plugin and install it again from the theme package.
After this create a new page and check to see if everything works as it should, regarding the row background options.
Also take a look to the theme system status and see if the WordPress and server parameters are set according to this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If there is still a problem please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, so we can investigate.

Thanks

Hi,

There is no problem activating the theme on a development environment and on the live website. The theme panel settings are saved in the database, if they reset then there could be a database issue. These theme panel settings can be reset only manually, or exported to be used in a different install
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/

Thanks

Hi,
I’m using one of the demos and setting it up on my staging site. There are quite a few categories that came with the demo that I don’t want. How do you remove a category?

Thanks,
Roooo

OK, turns out that this line of code line #49 in page.php add the class td-container:
<div class=”<?php if (!td_util::tdc_is_installed()) { echo ‘td-container ‘; } ?>tdc-content-wrap”>

Unless the TagDiv builder is disabled, the class is not added and the javascript that is supposed to stretch the content does not execute? Does that make sense?
If I disable the plugin, it works. If I enable it, it does not stretch the content.

Best,
Niklas//

This is a new installation. I am going through each items of the theme panel to set up my site, and when I get to “Block settings/Thumbs on modules/blocks”, the content of the pane does not show; it searches and searches for content, and seems stuck on an infinite loop. Please advise.
