I have never had this problem before and there were no new plugins installed.
When I add an image to a post, it gets automatically resized. Even after I manually enter the dimensions, it goes back to another size. The thumbnails then show up HUGE.
Please help, over 500 articles on my site look ridiculous. I can’t trace it to any specific event. I have updated theme and all plugins as called for.

I can help you to setup your theme from the beginning. I mean clean install without demos!

Ok…I’ve done exactly the process I’m supposed to from 4.x to 6.0…and have also auto updated the site now to 6.6.
But the site is still having serious issues. The css is not loading properly I think and the Visual Composer doesn’t load any of your templates.
I really need this fixed up so I can present to the client soon.
Let me know what you need and can supply access to the site so you can see what I mean.
Just to add…this is now a clean install and was prepared to rebuild the site using any new updates the import script had carried out. So can’t understand why it won’t even display your demo content properly.

I’m a new Newspaper user and installed the theme a couple of weeks ago. (I like it very much, btw, nice work.) I just got a notice this week that there’s an update and I’d like to know how I implement it.
Do I simply upload the files within the folder patch_6.5_6.6 to my server?
Do I need to delete the files that you show in the deleted files list?

I installed the travel demo with content and have edited out most of the default content so I can use it.

I did exactly what you got there and got 500 server error and put it back and site loads fine. So I have no clue what happened but I think I am going to just stick without the speed booster plugin installed.
Edit: Just tried another plugin that was listed and did what you showed putting on that line with single quotes and still got a 500 server error. Just keeping the plugin uninstalled since it is a pain to use in the first place.
btw: I did that with the buddypress one first and it gave that error even with that part comment out.
I already installed the demo, but I didn’t select ‘include content’ should I select it?

But I can’t find it in any of the scripts I have in newspaper folder or in the plugin folder.
Sometimes it is not active sometimes it is I’m mad with that thing, have you heard of any similar case ?
Do you know where it came from and how to remove it for good ?

For me, this is working fine after update.
I deleted the plugin after last theme update and re-installed the plug.
Cache may stop it from appearing for a few minutes, but it is all fine now.

The menu arrows were added with fonts, not icons. In order to change the graphic you need to install the font awesome plugin. Then you can use this css:

Unfortunately the plugin is not tested so we cannot say for sure if it will work 100% with our theme but we do know that some of our users have this plugin working. If you wish to use the football extension you need to install that one as well: http://screencast.com/t/KT1ch488iY

Please try the plugin just with visual composer (disable all other plugins) to rule out a plugin conflict.
Unfortunately as this plugin is not tested with our theme i cannot provide an answer or a solution for integration with our theme. You will need to hire a developer if it needs further integration than the installation can offer.

This usually happens because of lazy load animation which’s script conflicts with some of the installed plugins. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also try by deactivating the lazy load animation.
I’ve noticed that you’re using an old version of Visual Composer plugin: http://screencast.com/t/j5gdTOiNR7R6 I am not sure if this affect the site but we always recommend to update the plugins included in theme’s path, /plugins folder, when you update the theme. Try to update the Visual Composer at V 4.8.1: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ then test again.
Make sure you also do a backup of your current theme/wp install and database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups just in case something goes wrong in the update process you can always go back to the previous working version and try again.

So as I understood correctly you get Visual Composer license with Newsmag. But as you don’t get the secret API to confirm the Visual Composer install you can’t use their support. I’ve got a few problems with anchor elements in Visual Composer, I’d like to use their support but I can’t, can I ask them here?
