I deleted the theme and disabled visual composer and then installed the theme again. Then I was able to successfully create pages using the TD composer.

Hi all
I recently installed a twitter plugin (AccessPress Twitter Feed Pro) to display most recent twitter posts.
I cannot get the widget to display properly, it only displays the title of the widget on the page, nothing else.
I have also tried other plugins, with similar results, some preventing footers from displaying etc etc.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I am having this same problem again when trying to edit my homepage. I deleted and reinstalled the theme, but it hasn’t fixed the problem. I also tried creating a new homepage, but I get the same error message when I try to edit the new page. I am only using TagDiv Composer. Thanks.

Please also make sure you update the plugins as well. Delete the current theme plugins you have installed and install them again from the latest theme package.
Also in the current version, please make sure your theme name is Newspaper. The current theme version does not support a theme name change.

Hi,
The child theme is not related to the demos. It can be installed and used when you think it is necessary to use one. It is provided in the main theme package

So use one only if you plan to make consistent modifications of the theme. Other than that you can use the custom code sections in the theme panel for minor customization.
Installing a demo will import the demo content, theme panel settings and custom demo design.

I have done all that but to no avail. I spent almost 30 minutes with inmotion hosting support on Skype, sent them the system guide as email, the updated everything but no positive result.
The only option now my be to reinstall the theme or upgrade to Newspaper 8.5 theme which is a little bit frustrating because of my time schedule.

The theme has options to share the customized translation by uploading it to our server. It may take a while to be available, the process will pick the translation with the most similar variants, that would be considered the correct one, also more popular. That one will be available for download.
The theme does not have an option to export and import only the translation to a different install. Only the whole theme panel configuration can be exported.

Sorry but I’m not sure on a multi-site as our themes were not tested in a multi site environment. You can do this if your sites all have separate WordPress and theme installs. This way you can customize each of the files individually. Sorry but I cannot provide any insight to a multi-site install.

I keep all my install files on local HD and RAID backup, so I always have prior versions of plugins, themes, site backups, dbase, exports, etc.
learned my lesson on that with a server failure couple years back. Nightmare. 🙂

what wordpress backup have with plugin installation backups? 🙂 I do not keep all software and all plugin installations, i do backup whats the most important. i can at any moment restore everything i need.
However i have a list of files i have modified (more then a year ago, and I have it in evernote), but I need to make sure that this are the only changes and i did not made any other changes to installations files. and if I did what was changed and does this needs to be changed in 8.5 version.
Next time i will put it into git and it should be fine. but honestly? I didn’t expect that I will stick with this theme for so long.

Ensure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and purge all CDN files if you are using something like this. The install was only the latest WordPress (4.9.2) and Newsmag theme with zero plugins installed or activated. The installation is on a dedicated server, system parrameters are all set much higher than what is required by the theme and wordpress. I tried multiple installations on WP 4.9.2 and all exibited the same login issue. The moment I changed the theme to a default WP theme, or when I downgraded to WP 4.9.1 the problem was resolved. Of course this does not ultimately suggest that Newsmag has a bug but just sharing my experience nonetheless should there be some validity. As I am sure your developers would like to know if there was some truth. If you can’t repeat the issue than I guess there is no bug and it must be something on my end I am unaware of.
