FYI, I have opened another case on theme update issue:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/updating-theme-overwrite-all-child-theme-changes/#
When I try to update the theme version from 10.3.8 to 11.4.2 it overwrites all child theme changes.
I tried to use the theme updater:
https://prnt.sc/sVU58kOtyqHh
Here is my website:
Hello Chris!
It’s supposed to work like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/7VhbNlruZCvk
Try to add the element in the TagDiv Composer without to change the colors, and it should work like in the video.
This issue will be fixed in the next update.
Thank you!
Hello,
I just updated my website and all the images on my site disappeared in an instant. It appears in the Media Library but not in the website interface. Can you help urgently?
Ok, the first problem I encounter is that I cannot change the logo, I have updated it on the theme Panel and on the header and nothing. I have searched here on the forums for an answer and I haven´t seen one. Please help. Thanks
Hi Anamaria,

We also have sudden missing favicons on goalpoint.pt with no apparent reason, tks in advance
Hello @pratiek!
Please let me know about the features you were thinking about and I will add them to our improvement list for the next updates.
Thank you!
Hello @ElKebabo!
Before every update, we recommend a full backup. If you use default templates, then make sure you have the Standard Pack plugin installed and active, so all the settings can be restored automatically.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello!
Regarding to the CPU usage issue and DB queries, we are trying to find a solution as soon as possible.
The Standard Pack plugin can be uninstalled if you do not use default templates. We recommend to use cloud templates in order to have the possibility to edit them with the TagDiv Composer which contains a lot of functions and features, please check our tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Documentation here:

If you mean page speed, then you need to take into account:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update, so we’re gladly recommend the latest update of the theme.
If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.

Hi there,
The theme and tagdiv plugins are up to date but when I updated the “Excerpt Length”, this does not reflect in the website.
Upon looking at the error logs, I get the following:
PHP Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /home/674182.cloudwaysapps.com/mufumsheed/public_html/wp-c………….. non-numeric value encountered in /home/674182.cloudwaysapps.com/mufumsheed/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/shortcodes/td_flex_block_5.php on line 347′, referer: https://wordpress-674182-2230123.cloudwaysapps.com/
The block in question is the one right below the hero unit:

Mind taking a look?
Thanks
Hi there
after updating to the latest version of newspaper theme we cam mo longer see all cloud templates.
We can access cloud templates but the ALL option is no longer visible
We can access the templates via the tag div composer but not from the admin panel
When we tried to re-upload the theme this did not help unfortunatelly.
As info: We are running newspaper theme on a multisite.
We also tried to delete the cloud plugin and the tag div composer plugin.
But when we then tried to download these the site crashed and we had to restore from a backup.
Also as note: Newspaper theme runs in a child theme.
Hope you can help as this is a critical news website.

Thanks
Sven
Hello ! 🙂
I recently updated my Newspaper theme and all of my HP settings got lost..
I started editing them again to have the same home page as the one I had before but it’s taking a looooot of time.
I was wondering if there is a way to save my current/former template so I can later import it and make sure all elements are exactly like they used to be ?
Thanks, and have a great day !
Thanks Bettina and Calin — a full update is on our project list for sure, we already set up a sandbox copy. But it’ll take some time since we’ve developed quite some custom templates, styles and functions.
Thankfully though the Tagdiv composer deactivation didn’t happen again.
Hello @sekhar!
Access the category pages from your website and click on the green button “Edit with the TagDiv Composer“.
This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.
We tested with our theme the WP Super Cache and with the settings from our guide this is working correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If the problem occurs, then make sure you haven’t extra non-tagdiv plugins which are not tested with our theme and re-install the Mobile theme plugin.
We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you.
Thank you!
Hello!
If you use default templates, then make sure you have the Standard Pack plugin installed and active after the update. Also, try to reinstall the tagdiv Cloud Library plugin.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello!
It shouldn’t cause any trouble. First of all, please make sure you have a full backup done and then you can update the theme and the TagDiv plugins also.
I recommend you to make a full backup and update plugins and the theme via file transfer, so that you don’t face any error: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you use default templates, then make sure you have the Standard Pack plugin installed and active after the update.
Also, we can help you to update the theme and plugins safely. Please contact our custom work team here and they can help you: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/
Thank you!
After the theme update, the php.ini setting is not working. It was already added, but now it is not reflecting on the site. When I check the theme status, it shows default values.
If I add it to the .htaccess file, it shows an internal error.
Hi,
I updated my newspapper theme and i saw you can create your own mobile version, i created and i selected but it doesnt works, also i put the option on Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Mobile + AMP
The website is umcentral.umanizales.edu.co
Can you take a look and see what’s happening?
Thank you, Regrads
As a quick solution, you can roll back to 11.4.1 until they fix this.
Newspaper (wordpress menu) > Updates > Newspaper time machine > Select 11.4.1
I have done this for now.
When I update the theme I am missing Grid Modules in wp bakery and in the Theme panel setting I am missing Header Styles
I am prompted to update to 11.4.2
However, I need to know what this will change? I have changed a lot in the actual code, and I am afraid updating will change all of those settings. For example, I have changed the WP memory limit and the PHP max input vars. Will updating change these settings?
I need to know if the update will also change my theme look. WIll it change the way my homepage or any other pages look??
After updating the Newspaper theme to version 11.4.2, my site’s homepage broke, and now the latest posts look very ugly and unorganized. Please take a look at it and if there’s any solution to this problem, please share it.
Here’s my website: https://www.theunfolder.com/

Hello Ben!
I’ve checked your website and it seems that your responsive version looks similar as your desktop. If you use a mobile page, then please assign it again and see the results.
We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:

I can see that the register button doesn’t work at all, neither in desktop. Please re-check!
Thank you!
Hi,
I think that this solution can be solved if you overwrite the css in the child theme css file. In this way you’ll no longer need to remove the width: auto\9; after each theme update.
I will also make a notice to our developers to check and see if they can replace the css code with a better one, but I can not promise that this will be done for the coming update.
Thank you!
