Hi TD team,
I have been having issues with my site loading slow, and it all comes down to 8 queries taking as long as a quarter of a second to execute (one of them 8). Please advise what should I change in my settings to make it load faster, and help take some of the load off the database. It is so intensive it is occasionally crashing my database! I have used Query Monitor plugin to discover the slow queries.

Unfortunately, our TagDiv Composer plugin works better only on our Newspaper theme.
It could be a conflict with other themes, and our TagDiv Composer plugin won’t work.

I try everything,, disable cash, clean cash,turn off all plugins, roll back to older versions wordpress, roll back to older versions of Newspaper, delete plugins wich maybe cause a problems. I have other website under my control novinarionline.rs that website working great but still work with wordpress 5.9 and Newspaper 11.4 and now wait for update maybe jump out same problem as serbiannews.ca when update theme. What I notice, Newspaper theme work great with 7.x php but with 8.x php versions make some troubles. I cant access to Dic composer when is stream Hero player plugin is active P.S Now I can’t access even when all plugins are turned off. I any case I think this is GREAT WORDPRESS THEME AND I CAN RECOMMEND IT.

Edit the page with the TagDiv Composer, click on that element and delete the text and you can write anything else, or you can simply delete the element.
If you use a default template, then try to delete it form the Theme panel -> Footer.

Indeed that is an old theme version and the update need to be done via FTP/cPanel.
What I can suggest is first to make a full backup for your website and database and after that to update the theme (also, you can try first on staging or subdomain).
The theme should be updated via FTP, by replacing the old theme with the new one (replace not overwrite), in case that there are custom changes in the theme files, those will be lost. After that install the theme plugin tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Standard Pack and the rest of the theme plugins if you using (social counter, newsletter).

By that logic, Isn’t it better to disable 1068 and 485 in block settings? And what about category page 150*0? How should I allow them to use the full image.

For the last post, it worked; I never touched anything; it automatically picked .gif full size, not created thumbs. Even though I used WordPress media/featured image settings.
Don’t you think its better for a newspaper to not resize .gifs? or something changed in the update?
Choosing Full Image will affect static png thumbs.. png’s and jpegs will also show full size instead of thumbs.
Hence effecting page performance.
Other than direct upload, is there a way to tell newspaper;
Use Original when Gif, Not thumb, when gif.

Yes, by default this setting is off because is an extra option to show the date and also to show modified date. But, you can enable it from General tab -> Extra of flex block’s element. For more information, please check our guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
If you have a global template, then you need to edit only one category and the setting will apply on all your categories. For homepage, you need to edit it with the TagDiv Composer and apply the settings, or you can copy-paste the element which is already set as you like.

This is because there wee created thumbs for the gif that is not working and the theme is no longer use the original file and it is using the thumbs.
What you can do is to upload the gif in WordPress folder using ftp and not the media from WordPress so the thumbs will no longer be created, or better you can choose the full size thumb for the blocks and featured images, this can be done using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/t222Nc2.png -> https://i.imgur.com/OXcGXQt.png -> https://i.imgur.com/kR3aNW5.jpg

We have long recommended shifting from WPBakery to tagDiv Composer because there is a conflict between the two and they cannot be used together.

Please re-install the tagdiv Cloud Library. Edit an article with the TagDiv Composer and check if you have any wrong value in the Tagdiv Composer’s settings called “undefined”. If you have them please delete them.
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue or something that can interfere in our theme, please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

1. Ok thanks, issue nr. 1 solved with your hint.
2. Concerning issue nr.2 i decided to leave it as default.
I found where to modify in composer (Summary box -> General Tab -> Box padding by adding a 3rd px dimension) in order to align the two boxes but i noticed that the behaviour changes depending on the kind of overall score (if it has 2 digits it appears in a way, if it has 3 digits with comma it appears in a total different way). So default is probably a better option.
I’m saying this in case maybe someone else is looking for this kind of solution.

we havent made any changes to the files.
The theme version is 11.4.2, this problem happened suddently in an older version (in fact all panel options reverted to default) and we thought it might get fixed if we updated it, but the problem still persists with the last version.
The errors only disapear when deactivating the TagDiv Composer (wich we do not use, as we use the WP Bakery Page Builder) but it is mandatory to have it active.
I do not know however if the error are causing the Save Settings problem or if they are different problems.
The website is https://movilidadelectrica.com but note that it is under maintenance right now as the design is completely wrong (because panel options reverted to default).

So the original layout you show is this one: Newsmag Star review original layout
The one i was able to configure looks like this: MT star review layout
So you can clearly see in my layout there is some white blank space between star score and summary/overall score
AND
Summary’s bottom border line is not perfectly aligned with overall score’s border line. Ref1 and Ref2 of previous post

We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Our theme do not interfere with the admin bar, so I think that something else it is causing that problem.
About the mobile header, this is a different menu from desktop, but it can be adjusted using tagDiv Composer.

If I understand correctly, the problem is only for the pages that are not cached. Do you have many pages that do not need to be cached?
What I can recommend to do to improve the page speed is to set less flex blocks on pages and cloud templates, remove the ajax pagination from flex blocks, disable the google fonts, disable the standard pack (in case that is enabled and you use some elements from this plugin, those will be display as shortcodes), you also can disable the view post count (remove it with tagDiv Composer from post template) and disable the ajax view count.
I hope that doing those optimizations the speed will became better.

If the adsense-google code is for auto ads, then it need to be set between head tags, therefore it need to be set in this place -> https://i.imgur.com/UxaaSEt.png if are regular adsense then you can set the code in the theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/yPLNWfT.png and using tagDiv composer you can set it on ad box element.
